I have sent you a note about a page you started[edit]

Hello, LeonardoWeiss

Thank you for creating Gert Louis Lamartine.

User:Insertcleverphrasehere, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

Needs additional references to demonstrate notability. Obituaries don't demonstrate notability and ancestry.com database entries also generally don't represent significant coverage needed to demonstrate notability.

To reply, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Insertcleverphrasehere}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ .

@Insertcleverphrasehere: Hi, thank you for the feedback. There is an article about Lamartine in the "Dictionary of Canadian Artists" -- this alone should demonstrate notability. The notes on Ancestry and the Obituary are just justifying data that is not mentioned in any of the other sources. By the way, I translated the article from the German Wikipedia, and being mentioned in the "Dictionary of Canadian Artists" was sufficient for notability there. I made some adjustments to the article to better distinguish between Bibliography and Notes. Please let me know if you are missing anything else. The German wikipedia may have slightly different standards for notability, not sure, but on EN wiki we require multiple (at least 2) reliable sources to discuss the subject with significant coverage. See WP:42 and WP:GNG for more info. The dictionary certainly does count towards demonstrating notability, you are correct there, but the article still could use at least one more good source to fully demonstrate it. I don't think it will get deleted if not, but it would help protect it from AfD if somebody decides to take it there. — Insertcleverphrasehere (or here)(click me!) 22:03, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Insertcleverphrasehere: Hi, thank you, I updated the article adding 3 more books. One of them is the "Allgemeines Künstlerlexikon" (= The artists of the world bio-bibliographical index), which also by itself should be sufficient for proving notability. I think now notability should be clear. If I don't hear anything different, I will remove the notability tag. Thank you again for your support.
