External links and italics[edit]

Hi there, and welcome. I noticed you were adding external links to the Limerick library and you were using italics, where the guidelines for using italics show no reason to. Could you please go over all your additions and remove the italics? Best regards. --Muhandes (talk) 10:02, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

User name[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. However, I noticed that your username (Limericklibrary) may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because per WP:ORGNAME, names of organizations (such as the Limerick library) are not allowed. Sharing an account is also not permitted. Please change your user name to one which will be yours personally. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account to use for editing. Thank you. --Muhandes (talk) 10:06, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only you.

Additionally, it appears your account is intended to be used for the purpose of telling the world about an organization or cause that you consider worthwhile. Unfortunately, many good causes are not sufficiently notable for their own Wikipedia article, and all users are discouraged from editing in any area where they have an inherent conflict of interest, though you may wish to consider one of these alternative outlets. If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you.

UTRS appeal[edit]

This user has appealed on UTRS and we've had a discussion about the account name as well as adding external links. The user now understands why inserting links to one's own site is an issue, and will instead use the article talk pages to suggest the link as per WP:COI. I will instruct the editor to use the {{unblock-un}} template to deal with the account name issue. --Chris (talk) 22:32, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
