Jóhann Jóhannsson image questions

[edit]
  1. If you are the photographer of File:Johann johannsson antjetaiga iceland2 sat.jpg, as you assert, have you emailed Commons to verify that you retain the rights and have released them under a Creative Commons license?

YesLisaWells5 (talk) 22:07, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Given the apparent professional nature of the image, have you made the necessary paid editing declarations about your relationship with Johansson? —C.Fred (talk) 19:22, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

YesLisaWells5 (talk) 22:07, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Where? I don't see them on your user page or Talk:Jóhann Jóhannsson. —C.Fred (talk) 21:36, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Jóhann Jóhannsson 'Death' changes

[edit]

Hi,

a few notes for your large edit on Jóhann Jóhannsson: 1) You removed the report on cause of death, against community consensus on Talk:Jóhann Jóhannsson. WP:CON elaborates on the meaning of consensus; please start a new discussion / amend the existing one on the aforementioned talk page, in case you want to keep the cause of death removed. 2) No need to be humble with marking edits as minor; please only label edits as minor when they're absolutely uncontroversial, per WP:MINOR.

Thank you for your contribution! LenaAvrelia (talk) 20:36, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Got it, Thanks LenaAvrelia. I'll keep this in mind for the future. I did want to keep those amendments re: cause of death, so I've amended that talk page with an explanation and cited it. LisaWells5 (talk) 22:19, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Here's the thing: you're citing older sources, from before the toxicology reports were released. Updated sources include that information, so the old BBC story loses its standing, as it were, in the light of newer sources. —C.Fred (talk) 13:57, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Oh okay, I see what you're saying C.Fred. I'll leave as is, thanks for explaining! LisaWells5 (talk) 21:35, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Shida Shahabi

[edit]

Information icon Hello, LisaWells5. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Shida Shahabi, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.

Please note that in accordance to our conflict of interest editing guidelines, I have moved your article to Draft:Shida Shahabi, as editors with a conflict of interest should not create articles straight onto the mainspace. When you are ready to submit the draft for review by our Articles for Creation reviewers, please do so by adding {{subst:submit}} to the top of the page. Thank you. Sdrqaz (talk) 22:03, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Sdrqaz, I have disclosed my employer as far as paid contributions go. they are on my user page. Please see Johann Johannsson edits above. All information is factual and my employer's website is not used to promote or cite any of these facts. This page is not being used for promotion, but to track facts of Shida's career. I am going to submit the page again for review now that i have given you this information. LisaWells5 (talk) 22:21, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I know you have disclosed your employer, and thank you for that (hence my edit summary here). It's just I am supposed to notify page creators when their pages get moved into the draftspace, and coupling that with a table setting out clearly what's what in the COI guideline is usually helpful, as they may have missed something. Good luck with your submission. Sdrqaz (talk) 22:24, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Draft:Shida Shahabi

[edit]

Greetings! I have deleted this draft as a direct copyright violation of https://130701.com/artist/shida-shahabi. Please be aware as others have noted above that we can not accept copyrighted text as you have done here. You might have changed some words here and there, but there were still significant passages which were wholly unchanged from the source you used. This draft has now been deleted twice as a copyright violation. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. Before you consider making another draft, I heartily encourage you to thoroughly read Wikipedia:Copyright violations and ask questions if you are uncertain as to how to proceed. Another copyright violation on this draft will very likely result in it being salted, meaning it can not be created again without administrator approval. Further, this could have repercussions on your editing here, as serial copyright violators are often blocked for persistent violations. Please, don't do this. Also, the draft as was had a single non-primary source, which went to an album review. That was insufficient to sustain notability per our notability guidelines at WP:GNG and WP:NMUSICIAN. The other source was the artist herself. We can't accept an article on someone and assert their notable and as proof of that we use the person's assertion that they're notable. If that were the case, everyone who wanted an article on Wikipedia would have one. I encourage you to find reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject to help sustain notability. But, again, stay completely away from making copyright violations. If you have questions about any of this, let me know. Thanks, --Hammersoft (talk) 21:43, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
