License tagging for Image:030216nd birthday gongyo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:030216nd birthday gongyo.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image tagging for Image:Nichirene.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Nichirene.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Non-free use disputed for Image:Nichirene.JPG
[edit]This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Nichirene.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 14:51, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:Nichirene.JPG)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Nichirene.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 11:02, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
Image source problem with Image:Black Nazarene of Quiapo.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Black Nazarene of Quiapo.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:06, 24 February 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Polly (Parrot) 00:06, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Our lady of manaoag
[edit]A tag has been placed on Our lady of manaoag requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. ninety:one 21:05, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 21:13, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Santamadredolorosa.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Santamadredolorosa.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rettetast (talk) 13:41, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 00:10, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Kathy Griffin as a Gay Icon
[edit]The article Kathy Griffin as a Gay Icon has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Completely unsourced BLP
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ZooFari 04:11, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:Michellepope.JPG
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Michellepope.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Polly (Parrot) 20:22, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
A discussion has begun about whether the article Joey Yap, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Joey Yap until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.
You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 06:22, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
Personal images as a revision of art history
[edit]Please avoid the use of your personally created images in place of historical icons as you continue to do on Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia where images are expected to reflect the true nature of art, as used in WP:Reliable books on art. The images that you may create yourself with Photoshop are but a distortion of art as it exists in WP:Reliable sources. When a new reader arrives to look at a page on Wikipedia, they may not be aware that the image they see was created in 2010 by Mr Baltazar, and may think that is an actual image of the icon. Indeed your use of this image is misleading Wikipedia readers. Please stop "redrawing art history" via the use of your own copy of Photoshop, for that type of activity borders on WP:disruptive editing. Please show respect for the readers of Wikipedia and do not mislead them. History2007 (talk) 06:25, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

[edit]This is your last warning; the next time you upload a media file with missing copyright status, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. The WMF is receiving complaints through WP:OTRS of your image uploads being taken from websites without permission. Be warned- if you upload another copyrighted image and claim it as your own work, you will be indefinitely blocked from editing. OTRS agents, see Ticket:2011012810005616. [edit]You recently made a number of changes to the lead of the article about the Catholic Church. The changes included errors, such as this one in which you stated (contrary to the information in the link) that the bishops of the Catholic Church are the successors of St. Peter. Other changes made by you resulted in extremely wordy sentences, changes against consensus, grammatical errors, and red links. These changes have been reverted. Please avoid making such wholesale changes to articles without discussion and agreement on the respective article talk pages. Thank you. Sunray (talk) 09:25, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unsourced edits at Catholic Church as you did here, here and here. Your edits and their assertion that they are "correcting misleading information" must be supported by valid citations, especially in light of the fact that the Catechism of the Catholic Church states that
"In order that the full and living Gospel might always be preserved in the Church the apostles left bishops as their successors. They gave them their own position of teaching authority." Indeed, "the apostolic preaching, which is expressed in a special way in the inspired books, was to be preserved in a continuous line of succession until the end of time."
— Catechism of the Catholic Church, para. 77
As such, I have restored the previous wording of the sentence in question and added the appropriate footnote and citation.
What is your issue with the wording as it stands? It seems fairly clear from the wording that the Church teaches that the bishops in general are the Apostles' successors, as the Pope (the Bishop of Rome) is St. Peter's. I don't fully understand why you insisted on editing it to read that the bishops are the successors of St. Peter alone. I'd appreciate if you would please discuss this at the article's talk page. I have started a section titled "Apostolic succession" for this topic. Thanks. Cjmclark (Contact) 01:59, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
Please stop making unsourced edits
[edit] You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Catholic Church. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.
In particular, the three-revert rule states that:
- Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.
You have persisted adding unsourced material to the article in question. Please understand that you cannot expect other editors to accept your edits, particularly when they change material that is sourced and has existed with consensus for some time based on your say-so alone. I encourage you to discuss the reasoning behind your edits on the article's talk page and provide sources to support them. Cjmclark (Contact) 05:17, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
Further... "The Sacred Council teaches that bishops by divine institution have succeeded to the place of the apostles" (et spes, 21); "The order of bishops, which succeeds to the college of apostles ..." (Gaudium et spes, 22); "The individual bishops, ... each of them, as a member of the episcopal college and legitimate successor of the apostles ..." (Gaudium et spes, 23); "Bishops, as successors of the apostles ..." (Gaudium et spes, 24); "The parallel between Peter and the rest of the Apostles on the one hand, and between the Supreme Pontiff and the bishops on the other hand, does not imply the transmission of the Apostles' extraordinary power to their successors" (Gaudium et spes, Appendix). --Pseudo-Richard (talk) 14:27, 23 July 2011 (UTC)

Warning: unsourced edits that get reverted right and left
[edit]There are again a number of unsourced edits from your account and IPs in Laguna and Northridge that seem like the same account on Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Immaculate conception. These get reverted most of the time, and as the comments above show many other editors are tired of this too. Stop adding unsourced items, and reverting, or will have to ask for a block on your account and the IPs. History2007 (talk) 01:28, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
Second warning
[edit]Again, on Immaculate Conception your last edits (and the IP) have been objected to by 3 users, Aferwriting, Esoglou and myself. Following WP:V is easy and has 2 steps:
- Do not add unsourced material unless you have WP:RS sources
- Do not delete properly sourced material
You should respect Wikipedia policies and respect WP:V and WP:RS. History2007 (talk) 14:25, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
Third warning, disruptive editing
[edit]You have again added unsourced material to Our Lady of Perpetual Help. That section had been tagged as unsourced, you removed the tag, then added it again after deletion - no tag. This is in breach of Wikipedia policies. History2007 (talk) 16:24, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
You are on the WP:3RR line on Immaculate Conception. History2007 (talk) 16:27, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
You have crossed the WP:3RR line on Immaculate Conception and probably also on Our Lady of Perpetual Help. History2007 (talk) 16:42, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Warning: August 6, 2011 Addition of unsourced material
[edit]Your account has again added unsourced material to Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Please respect WP:V and WP:RS and do not add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as explained above. I tagged the material you added as unsourced, and will have to remove it soon, if this continues.
It seems that you are well on your way to a total block from Wikipedia. Sorry, but everyone's time is getting wasted here. History2007 (talk) 21:15, 6 August 2011 (UTC)
Warning August 12 2011: cn flag removal
[edit]Again, stop removing citation needed flags from articles, as you did and were reverted by another editor in this edit. The removal was through an IP previously identified as your sockpuppet. You can keep removing flags, but they get restored and eventually you will get blocked out. It is simple. History2007 (talk) 19:25, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
2nd warning, Aug 15 2011 cn flag removal
[edit]Again in this edit another editor had to restore your removal of a citation needed flag. As you were told before, these flags can NOT be removed by you at will. Removing them is WP:Disruptive editing and will result in the removal of your editing privileges. I think you have been warned plenty of times by now. And I would note that you have declined all requests to discuss the issue with other editors. History2007 (talk) 16:37, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
