AFDs

Hello, LordVoldemort728,

Can you slow down the pace at which you nominate articles for deletion at AFD? I think you did 16 AFDs a week ago, few of which have received any participation from other editors. Editors who take deletion discussions seriously do research on each one they participate in and having over a dozen on a similar subject on one day is asking a lot from them. You also had the same cut & paste deletion rationale for them so I wonder if you did a thorough BEFORE for each nomination since they were nominated only minutes apart. Please do not overwhelm either AFDs or PRODs with a lot of nominations over a short period of time. Better to nominate 1-4 articles per day over a week than over a dozen over a few minutes. Consider the amount of time others might be putting into considering one of your nominations and then multiply that many times over and then you can see why few deletion discussions from 12/19 received much participation.

Especially for articles that have existed here for years, there is no urgency to delete a group all at once so please slow down your pace, do a thorough BEFORE research on each one, keep your fellow editors in mind and don't go on another deletion-tagging spree. I'd echo Liz' comment here. In regard to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ekdin, the first hit I got on google books in a few seconds was "Other prominent newspapers are Bartaman (534,000), Sangbad Pratidin (313,000), Ajkal (181,000), Ekdin (124,000)..." ([1]). A bit further down, on same page you'd find the phrase "Desher Katha, Sambad, and Syandan are some of the leading Bengali dailies of Tripura.", yet you managed to nominate Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Daily Desher Katha within just two minutes of nominating Ekdin. --Soman (talk) 19:52, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
