Paganistan
I think that the term paganistan is just fine. Just because a term is new as far as use, it does not make it incorrect or less valuable. To disclaim it would be an insult to many. Would you discredit yada yada yada? This is another new word or term that is younger and in my opinion, less credible. But because a famous person came up with it, and it has no religious affiliation, we do not question it. If you wish to link the term paganistan with paganism in the twin cities, that seems appropriate and fair; however, saying it is inappropriate to use the term paganistan in reference to the twin city pagan community comes off as a bit prejudice.
Please do not think that I am pointing fingers or making any accusations. I am just taking the step back...and looking at the big and in my mind real issue. While some modification for clarifications may need to be written in, the removal of the term: Paganistan, sounds like someone did not like the fact that where they lived had a "pagan" following in the area. If that is the reasoning, shame on them, I know very few actual pagans or neopagans who try to tell others what they should believe. But, I am sad to say, I have known several nonpagans who are quick to criticize and condemn good people because of their spirituality.
The point is: Removing it completely seems to teach religious discrimination because someone did not like a term or a word. And they were afraid of having that word or term associated with them. We should be teaching religious tolerance and acceptance. It is a demographic term or word. It does not imply that all in that area are that word. It is like saying someone is Minnesotan because they live in Minnesota. What if someone who lived in Minnesota was born in another state or even another Country. Are they forced to be called a Minnesotan? The answer is No. It is just demographically where they live at that present time. Living in Paganistan does not imply that one is a Pagan. The term was derived because of the high concentration of pagans who live in the twin cities and are "out of the broom closet." It is a real community. I suggest that before deciding on the changing of or removal of the term Paganistan, you visit it. Go see the twin cities and then visit Paganistan, The Pagan Community in the Twin cities and twin city area. While you can find pagan communities almost everywhere, Paganistan is one of the most welcoming.

- This was discussed at extreme length weeks ago and there was no consensus on whether the term was sufficiently known and notable to title the article. The compromise was moving the article to move the article to Paganism in Minnesota and leave Paganistan as a redirect. It was not removed as you claim and I'm a bit perplexed about why you've left this essay on my talk page. It doesn't matter what the article is about, it's got to meet the same guidelines as every other article on Wikipedia. No special attention, positive or negative, should be paid to it because it involves a religion.
The Term Paganistan
I left it on "your" page because that is what came up when I went to discuss the fact that people wanted to remove Paganistan from Wikipedia. It said User talk and I thought this was the place to comment as it is where I was sent to. Nothing personal against you. I was just posting where I was sent to post by Wikipedia. And if you are not happy about this, please take it up with them.
As for the term Paganistan, I was under the impression that a final decision had not been made yet and that we still had time to post our reasons and thoughts before the end of this month. That is all.

- The original discussion is long closed and the term has been redirected to the more generic term mentioned above. Again, it was not removed, just renamed and then heavily edited by a number of editors. I'm curious to learn who sent you here. I'm not an administrator, I'm an editor. I have few additional privileges and none of those involve removing articles.--RadioFan (talk) 00:20, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
- It was a link in the original discussion. I was under the impression that this was the place to add posts only because of a link in Wikipedia with the discussion sent me here. I am sorry to say I do not remember any specific names. wish I could be of more help to you so you could fix it. I have to say, Things were overly edited. Why? I would appreciate specific examples and reasons so that I may learn from all of this.--99.54.71.196 (talk) 12:10, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
- You seem to be new here, I've left welcoming information on your talk, you should look over those links for more information on editing Wikipedia. In a nutshell, it's a community effort and any disputes are decided by consensus. If you've got issue with how the article has been edited, it would be best to bring it up on the article's talk page rather than the talk page of an individual editor (i.e. here).--RadioFan (talk) 12:16, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
I don't mean to sound rude. But that sounds like what I clicked on.--99.54.71.196 (talk) 15:24, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion converted to PROD: The Hate List
Hello RadioFan. I am just letting you know that I have converted the speedy deletion tag that you placed on The Hate List to a proposed deletion tag, because I do not believe CSD applies to the page in question - you quite reasonably tagged it G4, but the subject of the previous AfD was a film by this name, and this article is about a book. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 16:04, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note, thats perfectly fine. I really wish there was a way for new page patrollers to see deleted material so that we might avoid problems like this.--RadioFan (talk) 19:08, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
File:Cheerwine.jpg listed for deletion
A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Cheerwine.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Images
Hey RadioFan, just curious, but why don't you upload freely licensed images (like NASA pics) to Commons rather than to here? They'll be more easily categorised and found there, and available for use by a larger audience. — Huntster (t @ c) 03:55, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
- Because my similarly named commons account is screwed up, I cant change the password and any requests for help have been ignored by admins. I have an alternate account on commons but it's a pain in the ass to switch between this account and the one commons account that works for me.--RadioFan (talk) 05:39, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
I have removed the {{prod}} tag from Jennifer Hutt, which you proposed for deletion. I am leaving this message here to notify you about it. The subject opposes deletion, OTRS ticket 2011080910007129. Information was provided to the subject on improving the article. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to it. Instead, feel free to list the article at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! – Adrignola talk 13:51, 9 August 2011 (UTC)

Haha, my first barnstar! What follows is not some sort of payback, but I realize how quickly you came to a compromise when other users would have just continually reverted me.

Laptops on the International Space Station
Hey RadioFan, How are you ?
You probably know how I always worried about the computer section reading like advertising, you might have read the temporary media section I put in and asked to be deleted after the wave of 'the ISS is finished' Tv viewers went through. I have seen Russian Laptops and computers on the station here and there, some are old like the ISS, some are new. Anyhow, There is the sentence, " As of September 2000, the ThinkPad is the only laptop certified for long duration flight aboard the ISS though Mac and other laptop computers have been used aboard the ISS for specific experiments " which seems very misleading. I think it would be funny to add Houston, Windows Has Problems or something like that as a counter, but I think it's all your field of expertise/interest and I shouldn't be cheeky :)
Here is some ref, no idea if it is one you've already checked [1] or if it's any use. If you like I can forward the ones I find to you, I have seen a complete manual of operation for the russian laptops, I have it somewhere, but it didn't mention anywhere a brand, or rather, likely, it's just something like 'laptop' or a soviet non-advertising title. Penyulap talk 12:00, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
After having another read of the Windows Has Problems I had a daydream as if I were crew, and had troubles, and could ask for a targeting solution so I could throw a laptop at it's maker whilst going outside on an EVA. I think that'd be hilarious. Although, in RL, I'm not crew, never will be I'd say, and use Ubuntu, which has no troubles. Oh well. Penyulap talk 12:09, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
- Sounds like your concern is that it is NASA specific and does not cover Russia's contributions. If there are reliable sources that can be used to build up information about the laptops brought to station by the Russians that would be great. I'd be happy to help edit that. Pass along those sources. The wired story is interesting but I wouldn't add much more to the article based on it beyond some mention that early use of Windows NT was problematic. The point of this section of the article is that certification of hardware for flight takes a while and is why you may see older equipment up there than we use here on Earth.--RadioFan (talk) 13:16, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
Hi, perhaps sign this, please rather than my putting a clumsy unsigned tag? TerriersFan (talk) 22:09, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
- Lighten up, accidents happen.--RadioFan (talk) 22:20, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
- Eh? I give up! It was meant to be a friendly headsup because I always prefer to go back and sign rather than have the clumsy unsigned tag placed. Sigh ... TerriersFan (talk) 22:42, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
- Seems a bit nitpicky, dont you think? Such notices are a way to educate new editors. I'm not a new editor.--RadioFan (talk) 13:41, 20 August 2011 (UTC)

James McGraw
I am curious why you have marked the "James McGraw" page for deletion. He is a well-known scientist who has contributed over 26 years to the field, especially in plant population biology. He is one of the select few to receive the coveted LTREB funding by NSF. His work is mentioned in text books, including "Introduction to Plant Population Biology" by Silvertown and Charlesworth. He is a notable ecologist, and therefore, should have his own page. Thank you very much for your time Jtwv2011 (talk) 18:24, 26 August 2011 (UTC)jtwv2011
- That's not apparent from the article. It's not clear what his contributions are or how he meets notability guidlines. Keep in mind that notability guidelines for academics are quite a bit more stringent than other biographies. McGraw is widely published but I'm having difficulty finding citations of his work (in papers not written by him) which is likely because of the commonality of his name. I look forward to your improvements on this article particularly around ensuring that it might meet WP:PROF.--RadioFan (talk) 20:47, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
