[edit]Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that in this edit to Pretendian, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 07:59, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
- It was a mistake, I posted on the talk page to discuss the topic before I edited anything further to make sure my facts were correct :) Madigoosh (talk) 09:30, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
Connection
[edit]Do you have a connection with the Lipan Apache Tribe of Texas organization? --ARoseWolf 14:39, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
- Are you refusing to answer my question? You have edited since and not addressed this concern. --ARoseWolf 12:20, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Madigoosh if you hold an official position you MUST declare it. Doug Weller talk 21:36, 7 March 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Wikipedia does not consider self-published sources as reliable or credible when it comes to verification. You will need to find another reliable sources for this information. (WP:SELFPUBLISHED, WP:PROMO) --ARoseWolf 17:11, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
- Same thing for Facebook. You have been told before that these are very poor sources. Please adhere to Wikipedia policies on reliable sources. The sources you are using are not independent and highly promotional. --ARoseWolf 17:25, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
- Wiki allows those sources ONLY if it is from verifiable pages of those that I talk about. Read up on this and come back to me, thanks. Madigoosh (talk) 20:24, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
- Wikipedia does not take exception of its rules for you. The same applies for us all. You cant use the LATT site to verify anything other than the minimal biographical content. Something like what you are trying to add needs to be third party sourced. --ARoseWolf 12:17, 26 June 2024 (UTC)
- My previous edit wouldn’t be all that inaccurate considering the “verifiable” source (WinterTexasTimes) have also disclosed that they have over 50 years of their powwows, and the names of said powwow. The only thing not with a third party source is the Badger Run, which I need to look for a third party source for before adding it back on. I’ll let you know if I find one. Madigoosh (talk) 15:59, 26 June 2024 (UTC)
- Just found a source about the Badger Run from the same source, WinterTexanTimes. They don’t into much detail, but the Badger Run is mentioned https://www.wintertexantimes.com/news/entertainment/3617-52nd-annual-pow-wow-event-planned.html Madigoosh (talk) 16:03, 26 June 2024 (UTC)
- Based on this source you could add the fact that they conducted a Badger Run at this Powwow but little more detail than that because the source only gives that detail. If you found that it mentioned them doing a Badger Run at other powwow's then it can be said that they have done it multiple times. But you can not add the content back found on a self-published source. --ARoseWolf 11:21, 27 June 2024 (UTC)

Request reason:
Sources are being talked about on my talk page, and I’m currently looking for better sources for now and the future so we don’t have this problem again, and I do not have to disclose COI because I am not affiliated with anything I’m editing, Thanks. Madigoosh (talk) 15:47, 26 June 2024 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Closing as this appeal has been open for several weeks and there has been no reply to 331dot's follow-up question below. Ponyobons mots 23:16, 28 August 2024 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- If your intention is to request an unblock and it be successful then I might suggest that you will have to address the COI concerns mentioned in the block rationale. --ARoseWolf 11:23, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
