Question about admin coaching

When it says you need around 1750 edits, does it refer to live, non-deleted edits, or can it include deleted edits resulting from (in my case) new page patrolling? Ks0stm If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. 12:17, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

Hmmm

Do you believe this? I'm not asking sarcastically, I am actually wondering if you consider that answer to be honest. Tan | 39 23:29, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

WEVA International

I think you guys have made a big mistake in deleting this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Wedding_and_Event_Videographers_Association_International

A VERY simple google search would have resulted in the organizations webpage: www.weva.com. I have worked in the wedding videographer industry for a number of years and this is a widely respected organization whose annual conference attracts videographers from all over the globe. I personally received a first place award for creative excellence in 2006 at the annual convention.

Please undelete this page as I now provide you with an indisputable reference for the existence of this international organization. www.weva.com WEVA International 8499 S. Tamiami Trail, PMB 208 Sarasota, FL 34238 Phone: 941-923-5334 FAX 941-921-3836

The problem with the organization is that it does not meet Wikipedia's notability standards. While I do not doubt the organization's existence, mere existence is not enough to warrant inclusion in Wikipedia. Thank you, Malinaccier (talk) 22:19, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

I personally reviewed the submission guidelines, and noted that you have made an error in judgment while deleting this page, as WEVA does in fact fall well within those guidelines listed by Wikipedia.org. WEVA has been in hundreds of published articles in over two dozen professional media-related magazines such as EventDV (http://www.eventdv.net/), eMedia (predecessor to EventDV), DV magazine (http://www.dv.com/), VideoMaker Magazine (http://www.videomaker.com/), and many others too numerous to list here at this time. Additionally, WEVA has been referenced in books by published authors (John Goolsby, Jenny Lehman and several others), featured in popular podcasts (WedVidTalk.com, TheDVShow.com, DigitalProductionBuzz.com, and others) and its members featured in WEVA-related newscasts on every single major network (NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, CNN, MSNBC, HNN). There are hundreds of other tangible, verifiable references available as well.

For you to ignore this unique, first of its kind, nearly twenty year-old organization who has done more for actual development of digital video in working with all of the major camera manufacturers such as Sony, Panasonic, JVC, Cannon, etc. to progress the development of camera and video features than any other single group or organization in the entire history of digital video, is beyond absurd. WEVA's members have won more well-known international awards, worked for every major television broadcast network station, advanced both the technology and the fine artform of wedding and event videos more than all other sources combined.

Please reconsider your deletion. I think it is a shame that we have now lost the entire edit history on this page as well, but perhaps you could rectify this grave mistake by restoring what is absolutely verifiable in both tangible and electronic media sources throughout the entire world.

Something else interesting to note, Wikipedia.org itself does NOT meet the minimum requirements listed on its own pages to be referenced within itself. It has no printed references nor publications of any kind, is a relatively new resource and resides entirely on the Internet. Does this mean that you should consider deleting all of Wikipedia as well? I believe I have made my point. Thanks in advance for restoring what should have never been deleted in the first place. Next time, PLEASE do 10 minutes worth of Google searching research before making such a blunder again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ScotSheely (talkcontribs) 18:32, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Adminstrator Hopeful

Hello, I apologize for coming to your talk page uninvited, so I figure I had best introduce myself. As you could probably gather from my user page, I'm a Wiki-editor that focuses primarily on football/soccer pages, the Middle Ages, and vandal fighting. As of right now, I have almost 4,700 live edits. When looking into receiving admin coaching, I came across your Four Phase System and it interested me. I can infer that you are likely busy, so I understand if you are unable to provide me a great deal of assistance, but I was hoping that perhaps you could provide a few pointers or a little advice. At any rate, I figured that at least I would introduce myself to you. Feel free to leave me a message on my talk page whenever you get the chance. Thanks for your time, best wishes. Hello, thanks a lot for getting back to me. I'm sure with your pointers I can become a great administrator and serve the community well! Best of luck with all your endeavors, and thanks again! Vincent Valentine 22:21, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

move protection/FYI

I see you have protected History of Falun Gong from being moved. Well, that's pretty much useless. The opposing group has re-created an article under their favored title. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 20:25, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

As Halloween is my favorite holiday, I just wanted to wish those Wikipedians who have been nice enough to give me a barnstar or smile at me, supportive enough to agree with me, etc., a Happy Halloween! Sincerely, --A NobodyMy talk 18:08, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
