A tag has been placed on your user page, User:MasterRemit, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. A tag has been placed on Draft:MasterRemit, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Hey man im josh (talk) 14:17, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Requested username:

Request reason:

I understand that I was blocked because my edits were promotional in nature and my username suggested a business. I apologize for this and assure you it will not happen again. I intend to make valuable contributions by focusing on editing articles related to environmental science and providing reliable sources to improve the quality of information. I am not receiving any compensation for my edits. Thank you. MasterRemit (talk) 03:29, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

The presence of a Wikipedia article does not confer legitimacy upon a topic, or at least is not intended to(we can't control if third parties use Wikipedia for that purpose, but they shouldn't). Wikipedia does not claim that the information presented is particularly reliable or legitimate(see the general disclaimer). Wikipedia is also not a directory of businesses, and has no interest in enhancing search results or affecting the perception of legitimacy upon a business. Right now I'm not comfortable unblocking you to edit about any business, but especially MasterRemit. Perhaps you can convince another administrator to do so in a new request, but I am declining this one. 331dot (talk) 09:32, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you are employed by MasterRemit, you are a paid editor, you do not have to be specifically paid to make edits. To be clear, are you agreeing to not edit about MasterRemit or the money transfer field? (subjects for which you have a clear conflict of interest) 331dot (talk) 07:58, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,
Thank you for your message and for clarifying the guidelines regarding paid contributions and conflicts of interest. I appreciate the opportunity to address this matter.
I am a new editor on Wikipedia and my intention was to create a page that could serve as a valuable resource for the community, specifically in the money transfer field. I understand the importance of maintaining neutrality and avoiding any conflicts of interest.
To clarify, I am not employed by MasterRemit and I do not receive any compensation for my edits. My goal is purely to contribute to the collective knowledge on this platform. However, I recognize the potential for perceived conflict of interest given my interest in the money transfer field.
In light of your guidance, I will focus my efforts on other areas where I can make meaningful, unbiased contributions.
Thank you for your understanding and support as I navigate these guidelines. I am committed to adhering to Wikipedia’s policies and contributing positively to the community. MasterRemit (talk) 08:32, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Could you communicate with me without using an AI? (100% certain according to GPTzero) 331dot (talk) 08:37, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello,
Apologies, I'm using the AI to modify/tweak my messages , We can talk without that as well. MasterRemit (talk) 08:42, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So, you didn't pick MasterRemit at random to edit about. You also created a perfectly formatted draft, something unusual for a new user. What's the source of your interest in the company or the field? 331dot (talk) 09:00, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm doing a research on remittance apps in Australia and New Zealand. As, I have seen majority of frauds happening in this field. I have came across various profiles on Wikipedia and some of them are not available on the Wikipedia. If the business/apps have Wikipedia profile it shows authenticity of the application. So I thought I can create a talk pages for these so if people are seeking validated information they can get it from Wikipedia and I started with MasterRemit. The details I have got from the various sources from the internet, I can provide you these. As it was my first edit I thought that the user name with similar talk page would be helpful. I can assure you there are no exact interest in company from my end.
I honestly didn't thought that this will come under the Speedy Deletion. If there are information issues, I'll re draft everything to make it more from the neautral point of view.
Let me know if this will work. MasterRemit (talk) 09:22, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
