Shearer[edit]

Hello! I don't know if you saw the conversation on the Alan Shearer talk page, but would you be willing to upload those pics for us to use in the article? Thanks - Toon05 21:35, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Done and done: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Alanshearerwiki.jpg + see main article. Please edit or tinker if not done properly. MattM4 (talk) 13:58, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good, nice to finally have a pic of the Big Man in the article! - Toon05 22:21, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, another request! Thanks for the prior pic, would you be able to upload this pic, as I've cropped it on my comp further, and I think it would add quite well to the article - and I want at least one more pic in the article before I nominate it to WP:FAC (hopefully tonight). Cheers! - Toon05 15:13, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nice one, I've added a further cropped pic into the article. It is a shame that some people only remember that side of Shearer, and I think some people feel resentful towards successful players of other teams - every player has some blips in their history (Neil Lennon incident), but I think hes record speaks for itself really! Now, fingers crossed for this FA nom! - Toon05 16:33, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Newcastle United F.C. season[edit]

I've noticed you've been creating quite a few of these stubs lately, all of them without any content except for the infobox and a one line sentence that communicates very little. It'd be more useful if you'd pick a particular season and expand it, rather than create all of these articles that others have to come along and help expand, at best, or maintain. Logos on kit images[edit]

There was a recent discussion about logos on kit images at WT:FOOTY. I don't know if it's been archived yet, but the discussion resulted in a deletion discussion being started for various kit images. I think the main problem people have with the images is that they are too small to be of any use, and that they are also unnecessary details to be adding to kits that size. – PeeJay 13:37, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

September 2010[edit]

Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the article Zlatan Ibrahimović has an edit summary that appears to be inaccurate or inappropriate. Please use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did, and feel free to use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do. Thank you. Matt le Tissier stats[edit]

Hi - thanks for the note. The stats came from the book, "In That Number", which lists every game played by Southampton since 1945. It did require me to count up the appearances and goals on a season by season basis. Fortunately the totals came out right so I'm sure they are correct. Keep the frustration under control[edit]

I can sense your growing frustration, but this edit summary is going to lead to trouble. What's the issue, and who is changing them in a way you find inappropriate?—Kww(talk) 13:32, 18 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Newcastle United F.C. 8–0 Sheffield Wednesday F.C., requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Sir Sputnik (talk) 05:41, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
