Hi. I've again made the article you created into a redirect to Ottawa Hospital. All the information you'd included is already there, and, from a Google search, I gather that "Ottawa Riverside Hospital" fails to meet the general notability guidelines for an independent article. Hello, again. I see you've restored the article again. Was my explanation not clear? Largoplazo (talk) 19:59, 14 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Ottawa Riverside Hospital. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. You are using the article to play up the quality of the hospital's services. That isn't allowed. Largoplazo (talk) 21:47, 14 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I've again replaced the article with a redirect. I find no evidence to support a determination that Ottawa Riverside Hospital meets the notability guidelines, in particular the general notability guidelines, that article topics must meet. Virtually no independent coverage of it seems to be available anywhere, certainly not online. Largoplazo (talk) 18:59, 20 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:Riverside Hospital of Ottawa, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. /wiae /tlk 14:27, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

About your email

[edit]

Hello, Me2307. I received your email. Sorry about replying here, but I prefer to communicate on-wiki rather than by email. Yes, articles about your company have been blocked from creation since 2015. I can see two problems with your request to re-create it. The first problem is WP:COI which you should read. If you plan to say anything at all about this company, you must reveal your relationship with the company, both on your user page and at the page where you edit. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure, which is required if you are an employee of the company or an outside editor hired to write about it. In any case, as a COI editor you are “strongly discouraged” from writing about your company at all, because you cannot be neutral, and neutrality is one of the founding principles of Wikipedia. An article created by the company itself is likely to be way too promotional and would probably get speedy-deleted per WP:G11.

The second problem is: I just did some searching for your company’s name and I couldn’t find any Reliable Source coverage at all about the company. If there is not significant coverage about it by independent reliable sources, it cannot have an article at Wikipedia. See WP:CORP. There needs to be independent reporting, written in respected publications, to establish the company’s notability. Not just the company’s website and press releases. If evidence of notability is lacking, the article will get speedy-deleted per WP:A7.

With this said, if you still want to try for an article you could create a draft, see WP:Drafts. That is not prevented by the block. The draft would not go directly into the encyclopedia, but would first be evaluated by regular editors here to see if it qualifies for inclusion. There are instructions at WP:Drafts about how to do this. But first take advisement from what I have said above. -- MelanieN (talk) 17:22, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
