Capital and Labour
[edit]Sorry, I meant "Capital and Labour". See [1], e.g. [2] [3] [4], all of which give a lot of historical context and some interpretations. --Mr.98 (talk) 23:10, 25 January 2010 (UTC)

New Page patrolling
[edit]Hi. Thanks for tagging Jessica Kennedy just now, but when tagging you should use one of the standard tags listed in WP:CSD - the speedy criteria are quite tightly drawn, deliberately, and if none of the standard ones fits, the article is probably not speediable. In this case {{db-person}} was the right one: "article about a real person that does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject."
Also, when the speedy template is expanded on the article page it provides, towards the bottom, a warning for you to copy to the author's talk page explaining that the article has been nominated and why. Otherwise the newbie author doesn't know what has happened to the article, and probably just puts it in again.
This author had already had a Welcome message but, if you find the author has not had one, it's helpful to give one before the speedy warning. {{firstarticle}} is a good one to go with a speedy warning on a new user's talk page - less overwhelming than the one you have been given above, and includes a link to WP:Your first article which in my opinion is the single most important thing for new contributors to read.
There is good advice about speedy tagging from an experienced admin at WP:10CSD and WP:A7M.
