Thanks for uploading Image:EJKthumb pic1.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

I see you removed the notability tag from Edward J Kelly, I wont return the tag just yet as I see you are actively improving the article. Though one of the improvements you need to make is to provide secondary references that satisfy wikipedia notability guidelines, see WP:N. Many Thanks.... There is a lot more information to be added to this page. It is currently being worked on and will take some time to be completely up to date. Sorry for removing your tag - but I felt it was a little unfair considering I had only just started adding information to the page.... once again.. many thanks for your understanding.

I see you have a list of sources in the article, but this does not qualify as references. You simply have names of publications, with links to their pages. What is needed is something like actually references to articles where the subject is mentioned in a non trivial way, ideally a web link to the actual article, or if its unavailable on the web then the article name and publication date. I did some web searching on Edward J Kelly and do find number hits on his book, but nothing at all suggesting notability. Well those were added very quickly, basically because you were almost holding me to ransom to get some links up. I am still trying to add an awful lot of further information and just added the source bit at the end because of your insistance. It was my intention to provide links to the sources at the very end of the editing of the page but now I feel that I am being put under pressure to edit the page in the way you dictate. I can only work so fast and cannot produce everything at once. Is this the way it normally is on Wikipedia - someone jumping on your back within hardly an hour passing since work was began on an entry? Perhaps if you took the time to listen to the local radio in Liverpool and read the papers you will find some relevant articles and be able to add to this rather than putting undue pressure on me. Sorry if this sounds like a rant but I do feel that I've hardly been given chance to finish the page.

My apologies, I was trying to offer advice and helpful suggestions. You will find normal practice would be to leave inpersonal tags and templates and have the article whisked off to the deletion. Rather then do that I tried to help point you in the right direction of how to source your article properly. Since you take offense to these friendly suggestions I will step back. Sorry.... I'm really sorry if I sounded abrubt... If you were offering advice I'm very grateful. I did feel that I was being put under pressure and I'm only fairly new to Wikipedia. I've got much more to go on this article yet but I'm now very tired.... I was getting frustrated because my computer has crashed three times while I've been trying to edit the entries so I probably took out a lot of my frustration on you.... again I'm very sorry for that... it's something I shouldn't have done.... is there a way of taking the article off line or something until it is finished? (and I've added all the references etc).

No worries, there can be a big learning curve to wikipedia, especially if your diving strait into writing a full article right away. Dont let this deter you though. Reguarding your question on radio references, surely they are valid, honestly though I am unsure of the "proper" format to cite them though. I would list the name of the radio show and date of origonal airing at the very least. A good general guide on how to use references on wikipedia is here: WP:REF and a guide to establishing notability is here: WP:N. If you can provide the actual references I will be glad to assist you in entering them in the proper format in the article.
You should also take note of the warning about the image you uploaded, as it is at risk of being deleted as well. Though to be honest its not a very high quality image, perhaps you have access to a better one? Do you have any relationship with this author, perhaps he can provide you with one that is free of copyrights or can be released under one of the prefered licenses. Wikipedia is understandably very strict on image usage and copyrights. If you do have some sort of relationship to the author I do suggest taking a look at WP:COI which offers some good guidelines in this sort of situation. Russeasby 18:36, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
