A tag has been placed on Luna Press Publishing, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. - CHAMPION (talk) (contributions) (logs) 08:43, 3 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Notes[edit]

I'm not a bot, I'm an admin. Bot posts are almost always signed with a name ending in bot, and that ending is not allowed for human editors. OK. Please note that having an article on Wikipedia is dependent on notability. For companies, you should see WP:CORP, and as well for any sort of article WP:RS about the reliable independent sources needed to prove the notability. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a directory or social media, and unlike them we have restrictions. Also unlike them, we do not allow advertising or promotion, or things that resemble advertising or promotion. While you did manage not to use PR jargon, an article that is just a listing of products (or in this case, authors and illustrators and their works) looks like an attempt to put them before the public. Likewise, the use of symbols such as ™ usually indicates company involvement. That symbol, and the ones for copyright and registration, are not used on Wikipedia. References should be independent and reliable. They should be more than mentions in passing. Directory entries, including entries in publications like the Handbook, don't count for notability, and mentions by affiliated or associated organisations don't either. Having said all that, I wish the Press luck and success. But do remember that just being a publisher, or an author, is not a guarantee of an article here. What is needed is reviews in places other than Amazon or Goodreads (or blogs with a few exceptions like The Huffington Post...). If a good number of the authors and their works can be shown to have notability, the Press will be more likely to have it too. I'm not suggesting a flood of articles about the authors - I am suggesting getting reviews in places that the mainstream publishers get reviews in. (That's usually good for sales, too...). Anyway, I like to see new publishers starting up, even if they don't seem to be ready to have an article yet. Prove me wrong. Look at articles about some of the main publishers and try a draft at User:Mmacken3/Luna (click and save) and when you think you've got something worth saying, let me know and I'll contact a rescuer who will help you. Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Luna Press Publishing, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 20:58, 24 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
