Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, MochaOgilvy. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Harry Kloor, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 00:21, 3 August 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 00:33, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
- Your message is incorrect. I was adding material on a robot that was revealed at CES and has hundreds of media articles on it. This page is out of date and has not been advanced since 2020. I only acted to update it. Your flag or concern is incorrect. https://www.eejournal.com/industry_news/beyond-imaginations-new-humanoid-robot-will-connect-people-coast-to-coast-physically/ MochaOgilvy (talk) 00:50, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. MrOllie (talk) 00:40, 3 August 2022 (UTC)

- This page is out of date, so all I did was update it using dozens of sources on a robot called Beomni, that was revealed at CES in 2022... your page has not been advanced from 2020.. but if you want have out of date materials, I am fine with that.. I thought Wiki was about having correct information. Nothing in my post was promotional in anyway. MochaOgilvy (talk) 00:53, 3 August 2022 (UTC)

Please help me with... I corrected incorrect information on harry kloor page... for some reason this page now says
Dollar sign in circle cleaned (PD version).svg
This article may have been created or edited in return for undisclosed payments, a violation of Wikipedia's terms of use. It may require cleanup to comply with Wikipedia's content policies, particularly neutral point of view. (August 2022)
This is not correct - no one has paid me or even offered to pay me. All the material on this page is factual information on the person known as Dr. Harry Kloor, and none of it was paid for - and all comes from published news articles and talks.
please correct this incorrect labeling... I explained in august that there are about 100 articles on Kloor creation involving robotics and yet it was also flagged... MochaOgilvy (talk) 04:26, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
- Whether or not you acknowledge it, you are writing in a promotional manner. It's reasonable that MrOllie would believe you were getting paid; I personally think, at minimum, that you have a relationship with Kloor, even if it's entirely personal.
