Interwikis

[edit]

Hey thanks for getting all those interwikis for the Welcome template. That was very helpful-- REgards, AdamBiswanger1 01:29, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Talk pages

[edit]

Except in very exceptional circumstances, we do not mark talk pages for deletion.--Anthony.bradbury 20:33, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No problem; all friends here.--Anthony.bradbury 20:43, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Projects by type

[edit]

Thank you for your contribution to the Category:Project management category in the past. This now links to Category:Projects by type for examples of projects in different domains. However, there is currently a Call for Deletion for this category. If you would like to contribute to the discussion, you would be very welcome. Please do this soon if possible since the discussion period is very short. Thank you for your interest if you can contribute. Regards, Jonathan Bowen 03:19, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Javascript

[edit]

To put your monobook in a chrome:// url in windows you would go to:

  • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\chrome\
  • create a file called wikipedia.manifest (make sure you have "show file extensions" enabled to make sure that it ends in .manifest)
  • in this file add the line
content wikipedia file://c:/path/to/my/folder/that/chrome/will/access/
  • then restart firefox and visit chrome://wikipedia/content/monobook.js and see :)

GeorgeMoney (talk) 01:21, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The problem with yours was that you used content wikipedia file://c:Programas/Firefox/chrome/mono/ as opposed to content wikipedia file://c:/Programas/Firefox/chrome/mono/ (there has to be a slash ("/") after the colon (":") on "c:/".
About the "visit chrome://wikipedia/content/monobook.js": What I mean is that chrome://wikipedia/content/* = C:\Programas\Firefox\chrome\mono\*
GeorgeMoney (talk) 05:21, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The problem is with the encoding you used to save the monobook file. if you use notepad, try saving it as unicode. GeorgeMoney (talk) 05:55, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Twinkle (portuguese translation)

[edit]

Try this:

// Todays list
var date = new Date();
date.setUTCDate( date.getUTCDate() + 7 );
query = {
       'title': 'Wikipedia:Páginas para eliminar/' + date.getUTCDate() + ' de ' + date.getUTCMonthName(),
       'action': 'submit'
       };

Thanks for updating Wikipedia logo page

[edit]

I found out only yesterday, after googling myself, that my logo for the Nupedia logo competition in 2000 had been used at Wikipedia. And I only found out because you had added the info in Wikipedia. Thanks! Bjornsm (talk) 21:42, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 18:12, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Obrigado

Thanks for interwiki linking the templates I made, did not think of that. Cheers! Mjpresson (talk) 19:10, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

wikEd translation

[edit]

Hi Mosca,

I have updated your wikEd translation to the current version (0.9.119c). It would be great if you could find the time to translate the new additions into English. Please let me know here if you have any questions or suggestions.

Thanks in advance, Cacycle (talk) 14:03, 8 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
