how do i send the proof her background singer confirmed that her birthday was in fact may 26thMsso ki (talk) 21:37, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- You need to cite a reliable source such as a newspaper, magazine, or perhaps the singer's official website. There is information to help you with citing sources at WP:Citing sources. – GorillaWarfare talk • contribs 21:41, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

well her official site is wrong!! how about a youtube video with her stating it herself??? we have that availableMsso ki (talk) 00:49, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
- Youtube isn't a reliable source. We can't accept a youtube video over her official website. Steven Zhang The clock is ticking.... 01:25, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
- Agree with Steven Zhang, that youtube is usually not considered a reliable source. Every single reliable source I checked (including her official website) stated that Lauryn Hill's birthdate was May 25, 1975. I found one blog(unreliable source) that stated her birthday was May 26th. If there were more evidence from reliable sources stating her birthdate was the 26th, it could possibly be changed...but I have been unable to find that evidence. At this time it is best to leave the date as May 25 pending any further developments. Please discuss this on the Lauryn Hill article talkpage. -- Shearonink (talk) 01:37, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
