Mushroom (horse gene) article

Hello, thanks for writing this. I'm always keen to see new molecular biology material on Wikipedia.

However, I'm a bit concerned about the lack of citations and your saying that this gene has not been mapped. Wikipedia is not for posting original research, just topics already reported on in peer-reviewed journals. If there are no such sources yet, it may be too soon to post an article on this topic, as it might not be notable enough for a Wikipedia article. (Those are links to guides.)

Are there any sources on this gene? I'm concerned since the article will get deleted otherwise. If there are, just edit the article and add citations using the cite tool. That's okay, it can be hard when there's a language barrier in the way :) If you need any help, a good place to start would be with the articles that Blythwood(talk) linked at the top of this page. Wikipedia is a place for sourced and informative articles, so remember to put a source for your information when you put it in an article (like what website it came from or what book you read it in). Wikipedia is also supposed to be neutral, so instead of saying "this blog has a good article on X" (which sounds like promotion), you could instead rewrite some of the information from the article, and then use it as a source.
