Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:National Puppet Theatre of Albania
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:National Puppet Theatre of Albania requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://eu4culture.al/important-landmark-to-be-restored-under-eu4culture-programme/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit]Hello, I'm DoubleGrazing. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Archaeological Museum of Durrës, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:19, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello NaileZ! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 11:37, 13 October 2022 (UTC)

. Modussiccandi (talk) 18:10, 31 October 2022 (UTC)- Hello, I understand I violated the copyright policy and am so sorry for that. I didn't mean to publish the page without adding the sources first, it was a mistake. If possible, I would like to be able as soon as possible so I can edit the page and add cite the website from where I got the information.
- Thank you so much. NaileZ (talk) 18:17, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
- (Non-administrator comment) It's not enough to cite the source; you're simply not allowed to copypaste content from sources (except in some very specific circumstances). So when you say you will "cite the website", that makes me wonder if you quite understand the problem. Have you read through the information posted above (several times)? If not, please take this opportunity to do so. Best, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 18:48, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
- As the admin who blocked you, let me add this to DoubleGrazing's comment: in addition to not understanding our copyright policies, you were warned that you're behaviour was unacceptable but proceeded to repeat it in the space of minutes. It is hence likely that you would re-offend without the block. My recommendation, too, would be to keep busy by reviewing our copyright rules. Best, Modussiccandi (talk) 19:32, 31 October 2022 (UTC)

Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, NaileZ. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page National Puppet Theater, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. What relationship do you have with the National Puppet Theater or EU4culture? Whpq (talk) 11:51, 1 November 2022 (UTC)
- I don't work for none of them (no conflict of interest in this case), I wanted to contribute just as a citizen of my country who couldn't find any information about the theater online. The only information I manage to find was at eu4culture webiste and contact them to ask for permission to use it and they accepted. NaileZ (talk) 12:16, 1 November 2022 (UTC)
Archaeological Museum of Durrës
[edit]I have also removed your addition to Archaeological Museum of Durrës as it is a close paraphrasing of the source. -- Whpq (talk) 13:00, 1 November 2022 (UTC)
- I understand.In case you want a letter of permission from EU4Culture please ley me know otherwise I will just rewrite everything following the guidlines. NaileZ (talk) 08:25, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
- Writing it using your own words is the most straightforward approach. -- Whpq (talk) 11:22, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
