Your articles[edit]

Nathan, take a look at this guideline:

We're very picky about the way we define reliable sources for the purposes of this guideline.

Also take a look at the discussions of other article deletions linked from this page:

The blue links to "Articles for deletion" pages will take you to the relevant discussions.

I hope this helps. --A. B. (talk) 15:46, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of PrefixNE[edit]

A tag has been placed on PrefixNE, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. AfD nomination of PrefixNE[edit]

I have nominated PrefixNE, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PrefixNE. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Mayalld (talk) 16:31, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nathan, you're likely sick of our rules and processes by now!
"Speedy deletion" is the rapid deletion of an article with little discussion in cases where the need for deletion seems black and white. That's where we use {{hangon}} tags.
I contested your article's speedy deletion because your case was not black and white. Another editor thinks it still needs deletion, so he's nominated it for our slower, more deliberative "Articles for deletion" process. It's sort of like summary execution vs. trial by jury. In any event, you don't use {{hangon}} tags -- you just go to the discussion link above and join in the discussion. --A. B. (talk) 16:50, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

January 2008[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PrefixNE, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. Redfarmer (talk) 17:16, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

July 2011[edit]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Evil eye. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. A Macedonian, a Greek. (talk) 06:58, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Red string (Kabbalah). It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
