Rangers FC
[edit]I'm not "the editor" of Rangers FC (I don't even follow that page). I do watch a lot of articles that are related to Rangers – Ibrox Stadium (because Scotland have played there), Rangers players who have played for Scotland, general Scottish football articles, and so on. I often revert "Rangers are a new club" type-edits from those pages. I think the only Rangers-specific article that I often edit is the story of the 2012 financial meltdown. What do you want to know? Thanks for the reply. I don't know if this is the place to respond, but my question is about the content of the 2012 financial meltdown sub-article. I saw you in the edit logs quite often, so I thought you might be the administrator or editor. I think the content in a couple of sections needs to be edited; I would like bring it up with the administrators of the article.
- Post a comment on the article talk page, or just go ahead and edit the main article. There are no administrators for individual pages, just administrators for the site more generally (people who can enforce editorial standards). I'm not one of them. YOUR EDIT HAS BEEN REVERTED
[edit]Hello, I'm Illegitimate Barrister. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Canadian Red Ensign have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help Desk. Thanks. – Illegitimate Barrister (talk • contribs), 10:43, 10 June 2018 (UTC)
Clarify what you mean by 'constructive' please.
The article has serious problems, and I have expertise on Anglo-Canadian political culture. To pick out two supposedly 'far-right' uses out of the literally thousands of usages we still see of the RE is absurd, and not at all 'constructive' in my view.
Rangers F.C.
[edit]Hi. I've reverted your edit on the Rangers F.C. article and talk page and I wanted to explain fully why;
- You are not explaining in your edit summaries what you are doing, or why.
- You are responding to a conversation on the talk page from months ago.
- You are placing your responses haphazardly throughout someone else's post. Non-one can understand who said what, and follow the discussion if you do this.
- It's unclear what you precisely want. The talk page is there to discuss improvements to the article. It is not for general discussion on the subject of Rangers F.C.
If you have a specific issue with something the article says, please explain precisely what it is at the bottom of the talk page in a new section. Thanks. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 15:35, 17 September 2019 (UTC)
