Wab Kinew[edit]

Kinew may have been speculated about back in the spring as a possible leader of the Assembly of First Nations, but the election is on December 11 and as of today he still hasn't filed as a candidate — and in fact he's going to be spending most of December guest-hosting Q, so he's not really even available to campaign. So it's simply not appropriate for us to call him "a leading candidate" for the leadership of an organization that he's not a declared candidate for the leadership of. We're an encyclopedia, not an advocacy organization that expresses opinions.

Also, we follow encyclopedic writing style on here — a person's surname is not preceded by Dr. every single time it appears in the entire article. Bearcat (talk) 06:35, 13 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the note Bearcat. However, it wasn't me who added the material about Dr. Kinew's candidacy for the Assembly of First Nations. It good that you made this update however. Thanks for getting in touch. Neil Besner (talk) 00:57, 15 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
