thank you, this is an interesting and exciting project, i suppose people get better at writing content as they get used to the medium and the setting out. cheers, Nestene68 (talk) 14:21, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't be afraid of making mistakes -- every edit is easy to reverse :-). You can practise editing articles in your own userspace, just click on this link and you can take as much time as you need. There is a project dedicated to children's literature here that you might find useful. Feel free to leave me a note on my talk page if I can help with anything -- just click the link in the yellow box at the top of my page to leave a message. All the best, Bláthnaid 14:36, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of May Massee, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.emporia.edu/libsv/specialcollections/maymassee.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 15:21, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That was an unintentional copyvio on your part, as you used quote marks and linked to the source. I'm afraid that CorenSearchBot didn't catch that. It is best not to copy and paste other webpages -- put it in your own words before hitting save and you should be OK. Bláthnaid 15:33, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

thanks for that, yes, I wasn't sure if they would let it go it. I agree its not a good idea for big chunks of text, as well as being questionable for copyright, I suppose it defeats the purpose of an encylopedia which is mean to digest information and distil thanks Nestene68 (talk) 15:37, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I just did a new entry for an artist by the name of Michel Valette. It was showing as not having an entry in the English but i discovered there is an entry in the French, i am presuming that since it is the same wikipedia company that i can put an english translation of the article into the english category. My apologies if i am assuming wongly here. no unauthorised copying intended. Nestene68 (talk) 15:50, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, that's impressive! Translating between different languages is fine, there is even a project where people can request translations. You specified where you got the translation from which is great. Bláthnaid 16:25, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for this, that is good news, cheerio Nestene68 (talk) 12:34, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Nestene68! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 1 of the articles that you created is currently tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 371 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Michel Valette - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
