This may be helpful: There is a "Cite" toolbar at the top of the edit window which allows you to automatically generate the required wiki code.
You click one of the templates, e.g. "book", and fill in the details.

Oh gosh... part of me is embarrassed for missing that but another part of me wonders if perhaps it's not obvious (enough) what "cite" does and/or that there's a wizard for entering references?
Either way, thanks for getting back to me so quickly; I'll use the "cite" wizard in the future.
BTW... am I replying, to your reply, to my feedback, correctly? :)
