American poetry
[edit]Your recent Eliot edit looks like it needs quotation marks. Please fix. Thanks. Rwood128 (talk) 09:54, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for catching that. I've corrected it, though I italicized it rather than putting it in quotations. I believe either quotations or italics are correct here, since The Waste Land was published as its own discrete volume, and italics look cleaner, in my opinion. Thanks again for the heads up. Noah Hickman (BYU) (talk) 19:04, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
- Noah Hickman (BYU), I meant the sentence, which certainly sounds like a quotation, especially the phrase "foremost relic". Rwood128 (talk) 22:45, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
- It's not a direct quote from the source, nor is it a close paraphrase, so I don't think quotations are needed. I did change the world "relic" to "example" so the whole thing sounds less contrived and potentially plagiarized. Noah Hickman (BYU) (talk) 22:51, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
- I have made a further change. The problem with the original was that the comment was too personal, and so not appropriate for an encyclopaedia. Rwood128 (talk) 11:27, 14 July 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:The World Doesn't End. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. microbiologyMarcus [petri dish·growths] 23:27, 24 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you! Moving forward, I'll put new articles in the draft namespace. Noah Hickman (BYU) (talk) 18:31, 26 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Noah, it's not a requirement, it is just that they get moved once submitted so that anyone is able to see them and they are kept at a category on the Wikipedia back end at Category:Pending AfC submissions. It is okay if your preference is to draft them in your sandbox, I do it myself; they will just be moved once submitted, if you're looking for them. As always, appreciate your contributions. A note on {{connected contributor (paid)}}
[edit]Hey Noah, just wanted to leave you a quick note. Presently, you have {{connected contributor (paid)}} on the talk of your user talk page. It’s great that you are following Wikipedia's policy on paid editing and that you've made declarations on your user page, but that template goes on the talk pages of articles and draft article of subjects that you have the affiliation with and whose articles you have made contributions to. Otherwise, you contributions are appreciated, and welcome to the project. If you have any question, please don't hesitate to ask. You can respond to me below using {{ping|MicrobiologyMarcus}}
in your reply. Kindly, microbiologyMarcus [petri dish·growths] 00:18, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for alerting me to that! I've removed it from my talk page. Noah Hickman (BYU) (talk) 18:30, 26 July 2024 (UTC)

asilvering (talk) 03:13, 15 August 2024 (UTC)Poetry collection articles
[edit]Hi there, I see you've been making some tidy stubs on award-winning poetry collections. I'd advise you to look into requesting the autopatrolled right if you weren't one of the BYU paid editors. Since you are, I expect you've been told you have to go through AfC. If you find that your stuff is getting lost in the backlog, feel free to drop by my talk page with links to your drafts and I'll come clear them out. -- asilvering (talk) 03:24, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
