Thank you.

The article Geek Com has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 23:18, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article SN50 has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. No more articles about your own websites, please. See WP:COI. NawlinWiki (talk) 00:58, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding advertising or inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Yahoo! Answers. It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. NawlinWiki (talk) 01:18, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on SN50 Answers, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. September 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from SN50 Answers, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Access Denied [FATAL ERROR] 02:26, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Sn50 logo.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Sn50 logo.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:05, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on SN50 Answers requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you want to contest the speedy deletion of the article, then use {{hangon}} on the talkpage and explain why you think it should not be deleted. If you simply remove the notice, it is likely you will be blocked. --Cameron Scott (talk) 15:40, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

Actually it's the other way around, we consider material you publish yourself (what we call Self-published sources) to be the most unreliable - simply because people who are connected with something are likely to say things to promote it or may have a bias view (note: I'm not saying this is what you are doing, simply explaining why we don't rate self-published sources very highly). If someone or something is notable, then reliable mainstream third party will comment on it and write about it. Very simply, if reliable sources (newspapers, magazines, academics journals) are writing about something, that neither are we. --Cameron Scott (talk) 15:44, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, instead of writing it yourself, as you did at SN50 Answers. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. -- Rrburke (talk) 17:53, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy tags[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Hairhorn (talk) 23:05, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
