A tag has been placed on Galina Vale requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. srushe (talk) 22:37, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. srushe (talk) 22:42, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Galina Vale, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 23:19, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Korean poster.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Polly (Parrot) 18:55, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Galina Vale.JPG

[edit]
File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Galina Vale.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:02, 13 September 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Admrboltz (talk) 21:02, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Galina Vale

[edit]

I'm sorry, but the page cannot be restored. It has been deleted because the text used was already copyright. Copyright text cannot be used on Wikipedia because Wikipedia is licensed under CC-BY-SA 3.0 for free use by anyone anywhere. The text you used is not licensed in this way. The text is also regarded as promotional, which if it comes from her profile somewhere is not surprising. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, and we do not allow promotion or advertising. If you think that Galina Vale passes WP:BAND or WP:BIO, and this can be proved with reliable independent sources WP:RS, you may try again but you must not use any text that has already been published. You must not even come close to the wording of copyright text, and you must write in a neutral and non-promotional way. I would advise you that repeated posting of copyright text or advertising/promotional material can lead to blocking from editing, so be careful. Put your draft at User:Novaguitarra/DRAFT and ask for advice before you put it into article space. Peridon (talk) 19:14, 29 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Text here was written in 2009, there are some websites that copied text from here, but not other way around. The article was short and only consisted of proven facts. Now, the article is deleted because of attack on a artist. The user who deleted the page have broken wikipedia rules of being not objective, may be he has even done it on request of someone who is hostile to this artist.

Please sign talk page posts with ~~~~ which puts your signature and the datestamp on. The first posting of this article was tagged within a minute of posting for being a copyright violation of the artiste's website. It was tagged by an automatic bot that only searches for copyright violations. @Jimfbleak: can answer for himself, but I've never heard of Galina Vale before, and I'm sure he hasn't either. We are very careful about copyright stuff, and also stuff that is promotional. Wording like "Never afraid of controversy Galina has become a unique personality of the international guitar world" is not in the neutral style that we seek. Peridon (talk) 20:21, 29 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for replying, Peridon. Thats right, in 2009 it had copyright issues, but it was rewritten in proper manner straight away. I don't understand why Jim couldn't just delete this sentence that looked not appropriate to him, why he had to wipe the article from history. And why he is not replying my talks to him... May be you have not heard about this artist, youtube even generated topic on her name from so many plays on some of her performances, you have not heard about her, its understandable, field of guitar is not familiar to every person but in a world of guitar she is very famous for being controversial and a rebel. Galina Vale

[edit]

Hi, thanks for message. You can sign your comments automatically using four tildes ~~~~. Please add your messages to the bottom of the talk page, or they may be overlooked. You claimed that I deleted the article for no reason, that is not true. The deletion log says 07:20, 24 September 2014 Jimfbleak (talk | contribs | block) deleted page Galina Vale (G12: Unambiguous copyright infringement: G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion) I deleted your article because

  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. It is now Wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references, or they will be deleted. Although you did not have references, you had url links in the text, which I checked. These either did not mention her or no longer exist
  • it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: virtuoso guitarist... charismatic stage presence and dynamic powerful playing style with an unusually wide ranging and technically demanding repertoire... won prizes at international music competitions in Poland, Italy, Hungary, Spain, and the United Kingdom... Galina winning first prize... prestigious... her radical approach to repertoire... Never afraid of controversy... unique personality... very few female guitarists have even attempted both classical and flamenco genres... She continues to experiment in crossing of boundaries and musical styles.—it's not an encyclopaedia article, it's the sort of thing that might be written by her agent or a besotted fan
  • The external links consists of a whole string of sites associated with her, like Myspace, YouTube and Facebook. There should be one link to her own site, people who are interested can find the rest from there
  • Some of the text is copied from here], marked © 2014 Myspace LLC. All rights reserved. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient. But in any case the copyrighted text is far too promotional to be useful for Wikipedia's purposes, so there would not be any point in your jumping through all the hoops that are required.
  • Now, the article is deleted because of attack on a artist. The user who deleted the page have broken wikipedia rules of being not objective, may be he has even done it on request of someone who is hostile to this artist.—You are not helping yourself with accusations of corruption or bad faith, which just illustrate your own lack of objectivity with regard to this woman. FWIW, I've never heard of her, and I doubt that there is anyone out there bothered enough to ask me to delete it out of malice, see WP:AGF

It's not just a matter of removing the copyright text, the rest of the article is unsourced spam, and there are no proper references for the claimed facts, even when they appear more factual. I'm not prepared to restore the article, which needs rewriting from scratch with non-copyright tetx, proper references and an neutral encyclopaedic tone. For the same reasons, I don't think it's appropriate to sandbox such a deeply flawed article. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:17, 30 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Jim, the text was not copied from anywhere, it was originally written in 2009, and has been proved by moderators here , all references have been checked. There are some websites that copied text from here, but not other way around. If you found that it had promotional tone you could suggest modifications but not just delete it.
