Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Kyrgyzstan, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. The cited source, the CIA World Factbook, indicates 6,071,750 (2022 est.) You have not provided an alternate source. Peaceray (talk) 01:31, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Peaceray hello, according to the link, Kyrgyzstan have 7,000,000 population Nurmukhamed.GM (talk) 01:37, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That is incorrect. www.cia.gov/the-world-factbook/countries/kyrgyzstan/ says Population 6,071,750 (2022 est.). Peaceray (talk) 01:44, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Kyrgyzstan, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Peaceray (talk) 01:44, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Peaceray why are you changing? according to the statistic in the link which is based on local monthly estimate is 7,000,000 million. Stop changing, ok? I will report. Nurmukhamed.GM (talk) 01:55, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If you do not provide a source, reporting me will not reflect well on you. If you have a link, I suggest that you provide it. Peaceray (talk) 01:57, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Peaceray ru:Население Киргизии Nurmukhamed.GM (talk) 02:07, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia of any language is not a reliable source for Wikipedia. Does the Russian Wikipedia have citation for the 7,000,000 figure? Peaceray (talk) 02:13, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please see WP:USERGENERATED. Peaceray (talk) 02:19, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Kyrgyzstan, you may be blocked from editing. Peaceray (talk) 02:21, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Nurmukhamed.GM, I was able to drill down the on the URL that ru:Население Киргизии cited & found the English version that gave an estimate of 6,636,803 in 2021. Here's the link:
  • "Total population by nationality - Open Data - Statistics of the Kyrgyz Republic". stat.kg. Retrieved 2023-02-07.
I updated the Kyrgyzstan article accordingly.
Next time, please do not be so obstinate. We require verification from reliable sources in the English Wikipedia. Please see H:FOOT if you need help with creating a footnote. Peaceray (talk) 06:23, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
