[edit]Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Carrick-on-Shannon. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Thanks - is a list of restaurants acceptable? Advising about Stag and Hen parties is of interest to people who'd wish to avoid such crowds, but I can re-write.
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Carrick-on-Shannon, you may be blocked from editing. The Banner talk 19:41, 27 May 2013 (UTC)
The problem with Carrick-on-Shannon...
[edit]... is easy to describe: you are adding SPAM. Wikipedia is not a place for advertising or promotion. The Banner talk 19:52, 27 May 2013 (UTC)
Thanks. I had removed all references that I had thought could be regarded as SPAM after your advice. I added some links which were informative, and I see that you have reverted everything back to the original article. This seems very heavy handed to me. I have read the articles in relation to SPAM etc that you suggested. Can I, in turn, refer you to the article "Do not bite the newcomers".
- Yes, I did because it was easier to revert all you edits and restore the useful parts later. The section about transport is now exactly the same as you made it. The Banner talk 10:40, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
Oboyles, you are invited to the Teahouse
