Joshua Zarka
I see that you reviewed articles of previous Israeli ambassadors to France so I'm wondering if you could please take a look at Draft:Joshua Laurent Zarka. Unbeknownest to me, the draft was created a while back by another editor and rejected 3 times. I only found this out when I was going to create an article for him. On this relevation, I worked on improving the draft and adding around 15 references to it.
I know that just because he's an ambassador he's not automatically notable.
I know that just because there are 23 references doesn't mean WP:GNG is automatically met.
As a reviewer I respect, if possible, could you please take a look at the draft with fresh eyes. If you say work has to be done on it and better references need to be found, I'll go away and try to find them.
Thank you. MaskedSinger (talk) 06:40, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
- This is a borderline case. Another editor might have accepted the draft. I went through the independent sourcing (anything not from government sources, which are not independent in this case, since he works for the government). Most are brief mentions of him, which are good for sourcing the factual accuracy of the article, but not enough to pass WP:SIGCOV, which is part of GNG. These include the pieces by aa.com, i24, and Iranintl.com. Ones which put a bit more meat on the bone are the ones like the Axios and Guardian pieces. A very nice one is the LeMonde piece, although it is an interview. Interviews can be viewed as primary sources, but in this case, he is not talking about himself, so I wouldn't classify it like that. The Times of Israel piece is also nice, but it reads like it might be a press release from the government, so it will probably be discounted. I think you are one, maybe two references away from ensuring it would pass WP:AFD. I hope this helps. Onel5969 TT me 08:51, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
- It certainly does help. Thank you for that. I will go back to the well and see what I can find! MaskedSinger (talk) 11:55, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
- Feel free to reach out after you've improved it, and I'll take another look. Onel5969 TT me 11:58, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you! Just added another 5 references. I searched in English and then I searched for some French sources. MaskedSinger (talk) 14:46, 1 September 2024 (UTC)

Greetings, Today I de-orphaned this new article by adding a link at Mirova (company) article, Notable people section. Regards, JoeNMLC (talk) 18:25, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
Can you advise please
Hi there, I'm just getting started with the de-orphaning project. I came across Umar Farooq Zahoor on the list.
I'm probably missing something, you added the Orphan tag but there is already quite a few links. This isn't a complaint, I just wanted to ensure I didn't remove a tag that still needed to be there. I'm still easily confused with how Wikipedia works! Thank you. Knitsey (talk) 12:35, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi. No worries. While there are quite a few links, none of them is to another Wikipedia article. They are to transclusion pages, userpages, and wikipedia project pages. An article isn't de-orphaned until it links to at least 1 other Wikipedia article. Once that's done, you can remove the tag. And thanks for doing the drudgery work of de-orphaning. It's something I might look into in the future. Hope this helps. Onel5969 TT me 13:04, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- Ok, I see now what you mean. I wasn't sure if linking Norway was too obvious a link? The article mentions NOK which I was thinking of piping? I wasn't sure if they were too trivial? Knitsey (talk) 13:26, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- I've just found out what I'm doing wrong. So I'm going to walk away from this conversation in the hopes that it will never be mentioned again and completely block out me making a fool of myself. Knitsey (talk) 16:59, 5 September 2024 (UTC)

Eggplant carpaccio in the Baba Ghanoush wiki
You deleted it saying "the source doesn't say anything like that" evidently not reading the source b/c it is exactly paraphrasing the source. Then you said take it to the talk - but yet don't participate in the talk or give a reason for your deletion a second time? Greenlion88 (talk) 18:37, 8 September 2024 (UTC)
- First, it wasn't deleted. Second, sorry, the verbiage wasn't close to what was in the source. Rather it was a highly pov interpretation. Since it was explained to you, you should understand the reason for the second revert - you were asked to discuss on the talk page, which you should already have realized as per WP:BRD. And just because I haven't responded on the talk page in your prescribed time frame is not my problem. Be patient, I'm sure both Justlettersandnumbers will chime in. Also, it's polite wiki-etiquette to provide a link to the page/discussion/action you are asking about. Onel5969 TT me 18:50, 8 September 2024 (UTC)

Things Are Looking Up
Thank you for working for a better Wikipedia.
Regarding this edit/summary, could you please be more specific about why you think WP:DAB means the other shows and albums featuring the Gershwin song don't satisfy MOS:DABMENTION? Also, do i correctly understand from WP:DAB, MOS:DABMENTION, and the principle of least astonishment in Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking#Intuitiveness, instead of having a pipe link
- "Things Are Looking Up", a Gershwin song from the 1937 film, A Damsel in Distress
do i understand correctly that the disambiguation should try to (roughly) transcribe the link?
- "Things Are Looking Up", a Gershwin song from A Damsel in Distress (1937 film)#Music
i hope you get this message. Your talk page looks blank to me, despite what the edit history shows. If you don't respond here, i may repost this on Talk:Things Are Looking Up.
Wishing you safe, happy, productive editing.

- Hi. Regarding DABMENTION, the more specific guideline would be MOS:DABONE. When there is more than one choice, pick the best one. Since the redirect pointed to that particular target, I selected it. Regarding your question regarding "easter eggs", that is more pertinent to articles, than dab pages. Although you could change the link to your version if you prefer. Hope this helps. Onel5969 TT me 00:20, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
Check before
Please check why might there suddenly be over a hundred links needing disambiguation. Sfântu Gheorghe, Transylvania was moved without discussion while being the primary topic. The page will be moved back. Regards, Super Ψ Dro 10:35, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
- Also, why are you reverting me? It is obvious to any experienced editor that the move is inappropriate and will be reverted. Why do you want the disambiguation links that shouldn't even have existed in the first place to remain for the few hours that they'll be valid? Super Ψ Dro 10:36, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
- I did check, and have left a message on the discussion regarding the move. Re-adding dabs while a discussion is underway is a tad disruptive. I do not find it obvious, and neither did an NPPer patroller. Onel5969 TT me 10:40, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
- Super Dromaeosaurus, Forgot to add, that if the result of that discussion is to revert, would you please ping me, and I'll be more than happy to undo the dabs myself, I do not like making work for other editors.Onel5969 TT me 10:51, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
- That is reasonable, though not as practical, but sure. I was trying to avoid the same situation that happened at Ion Creangă, moved without discussion by the same user, and now there's hundreds of similar links to a unnecessary disambiguation link [1] (you shouldn't deal with those, as it was another editor that changed them before the move was reverted). I appreciate that you offered to change back all the links. Regards, Super Ψ Dro 10:56, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Onel, the move has been reverted. Super Ψ Dro 08:31, 5 October 2024 (UTC)

San Paolo
Hi Onel5969. Sorry to disturb you, but unfortunately your edits to change San Paolo in San Paolo, Lombardy are wrong. San Paolo often refers to Stadio San Paolo. Now I will fix all them manually. MrKeefeJohn (talk) 09:51, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
- Well, I simply pointed the targets to where they had been pointed previously, prior to you creating a redirect to the dab page. Onel5969 TT me 09:54, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
- also refers to São Paulo. The target was already wrong before my redirect creation and I was checking all entering link before changing it. MrKeefeJohn (talk) 09:57, 16 September 2024 (UTC)

damned edit conflict
In the article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Claremont_Hotel - I forgot the way to keep all my edits (adding qualifying references to claims for earlier names) and so let it go, so have just tagged it instead - weasel and advert.

problem about https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Macdonald_Manly
Dear Editor:
Could you please tell Wikidata that it has the wrong spelling of this artist's name? Wikidata spells Macdonald MacDonald but I have checked my spelling and the above is correct. Thank you! Joan Joan arden murray (talk) 18:16, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
Or maybe
because the mistake is so pervasive on the internet, tell Wikidata both spellings are correct? Olden day spelling wasn't so accurate... joan Joan arden murray (talk) 18:45, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah, I don't do a whole lot with Wikidata. You might ask a question on how to do that at the Teahouse. Onel5969 TT me 20:07, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
Orient Islamic School Editing
Hello I am aware that i my work on orient islamic school has been removed I am I member of orient islamic school and all the information is factual and can be checked with members of the instituition and I think that you have made a mistake by removing factual information . Please point out errors that i have made and maybe give me information in how to change it to suit wikipedia Thank You SayfKhan807 (talk) 20:56, 24 September 2024 (UTC)
- I've left a notice on your talk page explaining why it was removed. In addition, based on your above comment, you should not edit the article at all as you have a conflict of interest. Please see WP:COI and follow the directions there regarding editing pages. Onel5969 TT me 20:58, 24 September 2024 (UTC)

Hyphen dash
Hi Onel5969, in this edit with your script you changed one hyphen to a dash in "time to 7–8 months from 4-5". I'm not sure which is right, but shouldn't they be the same? Best, CMD (talk) 12:03, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
Dear One15969:
Something change happened to this article. I had the article as this for a few days. Autocorrect or someone changed the spelling of the name to Greta. I changed it back. It really is Gerta. Can you see it stays this way? Thank you, Joan Joan arden murray (talk) 21:00, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi. There's no way to ensure that someone doesn't change it, as it does look like a misspelling. This happens all the time. I put a note there, so that if someone is looking at it, without looking at the title of the article, it might deter them. In the future, rather than simply change it back, revert the edit, and explain nicely in the edit summary that it is not a misspelling. Hope this helps. Onel5969 TT me 00:45, 26 September 2024 (UTC)
