Thank you for your e-mail. The above should provide basic info on starting in the Wikipedia. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask in my talk.

Here's why I reverted your changes to Bruce Lunsford:

  • The content was misplaced -- it was put under the "See also" section.
  • The new content was not integrated into the existing content. Two separate, unintegrated areas of article content simply doesn't look good or read well. Editors generally shouldn't expect other editors to clean their stuff up.
  • The new content reads a little too much like a brochure for Lunsford. (However, I admit it's hard to avoid that for political candidates)

Since you are a writer/editor, I am mostly surprised at the first two. However, I accept that you are working in good faith and hopefully will spend some time to properly integrate your material in. It's just a matter of taking two separate works and combining them -- I'm certain you can handle that.

Thanks for joining the Wikipedia, and I look forward to seeing some great, well-integrated contributions to the Bruce Lunsford and other articles. Stevie is the man! TalkWork 21:22, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
