Welcome

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page. To stay in Wikipedia, an article has to be about something notable, that is, of general interest. Click on Notability for an explanation of what that means, and on Notability (organizations and companies) for more detail. Also, it must give independently verifiable sources. Articles that don't meet these requirements are likely to be deleted. Follow the links below to learn more:

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for adding spam links. Persistent spammers will have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia and potentially penalized by search engines.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Alex ShihTalk 13:01, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I'm confused. I didn't add any spam links. I simply reverted the changes Jameswarnersmith of [redacted] made when he deleted the some links to add his own on 14/07

Decline reason:

You replaced the Telegraph with a commercial website and called that "rvt spam link". You re-added that same commercial website and claimed its removal appeared "commercially driven". Why would anybody be "commercially driven" to remove a "book your campsite here" website? On the other hand, what reason other than commercial ones can there be to repeatedly add such a website? If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

@Bonadea: Please see my comment above - the link I added back in to the glamping page goes back to 2016 and was not added by me. Outdoorsy (talk) 13:20, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, sometimes inappropriate links remain undetected for a long time. I did not remove it because you added it, but because it's a bad reference. --bonadea contributions talk 13:45, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
To be unblocked, please disclose any potential conflict of interest you may have, as you have previously declared affiliation with a camping company in this thread. Please follow the instructions here for proper disclosure, and make sure that you would refrain from adding inappropriate links. In addition, please read this policy about posting of personal information. It is strictly against the Terms of Use of Wikipedia and is not taken lightly, thank you.
