Welcome!

Hello, PaidSaad, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like Joey Kramer Hit Hard, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard. Thank you.

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Joey Kramer Hit Hard, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. March 2010[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, Saadamy, may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because It can be seen to attack somebody named Amy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may file for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Thank you. Joey Kramer Hit Hard[edit]

Would be best for you to not create this in mainspace, but work on it at User:Saadamy/Joey Kramer Hit Hard - and work on it as a draft there, until it is demonstrated that it meets WP:NOTE. Cheers, -- Cirt (talk) 22:04, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

{{unblock|Using my username to create wiki pages for the Joey Kramer iphone app and new book called "Hit Hard"}}

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Autoblock #1834426 lifted or expired.

Request handled by: Tim Song (talk)

Unblocking administrator: Please check for active autoblocks on this user after accepting the unblock request.

Username[edit]

If unblocked, I suggest getting a username change at WP:Changing username so that it doesn't breach username policy and that editors who don't know you won't report you to WP:UAA for a disruptive name. Regards, SuperSonic SPEED (formerly known as ChaosControl1994). 22:18, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Apology[edit]

Hi. My apologies for the rather rough welcome you have received. One of our principles is WP:Don't bite the newbies, but I'm afraid we didn't live up to it very well with you. There were two problems which reinforced each other: your article was mistaken for a hoax, of which we get regrettably many, and your username was also seen as offensive, which also happens all too often. I must admit that I can see nothing wrong with it, but I am a Brit and maybe have an innocent mind: perhaps to an American ear it sounds worse.

  • Your username: please think of a new one and file a request at WP:CHU. If you would rather, as this account has few edits, you can simply abandon this one and start a new one: if you choose to do that, send me a message from your new account and I will move your draft article across for you.
  • Your article: I have undeleted it and put into a user sub-page for you at User:Saadamy/Joey Kramer Hit Hard. I don't think at present it would meet our WP:Notability requirements, which require showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." As the game is so new, it's very unlikely that enough independent comment will exist, yet, but you can add to the article as it comes. When you think you have enough to pass WP:Notability, post a request at WP:Requests for feedback to see if others agree, before moving it back to the main space.

Apologies, again, for the rough start we have given you: I hope things go better now. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 22:51, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, PaidSaad, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. -- Cirt (talk) 16:44, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
