Hi :) I came across your article on Dryad Press on the uncategorised articles list, and was going to request that it be speedily deleted, as there was nothing to indicate why this company is important or notable. Then I noticed that you're quite a new editor, so thought I'd better come here instead, and ask you what you think makes this company 'worthy' of its own article in an encyclopaedia? If there is a particular claim to fame, this should probably be added to the article, lest it gets deleted. Cheers, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:02, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks so much for reaching out! I was basing the notability of Dryad Press on the fact that I found multiple sources on the company, but especially on the articles that were included in Category:Book publishing companies based in Maryland and Category:Jewish printing and publishing. These lists included articles on companies that seemed to have a similar level of notability to Dryad Press, so I determined that Dryad was notable as a Jewish and Maryland publisher. I was planning on categorizing Dryad Press in these two areas, but I hadn't gotten around to it yet. I'll look into finding out more about Dryad's role in Maryland and Jewish publishing specifically, although if the article is still not deemed notable I'll understand! In any case, I appreciate you reaching out, especially as a new editor! Thanks again! Parthenos18 (talk) 00:40, 22 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thanks. I won't propose it for deletion, then. Which doesn't, of course, guarantee that someone else won't, but at least it can live to fight another day. :) Best, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:32, 22 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
