Iranica[edit]

For the Parthia article, you might want to look at google books www.books.google.com (type parthians). Another good source is www.iranica.com under Arsacid dynasty. --alidoostzadeh (talk) 01:05, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. You can find lots of stuff to contribute on Iran related articles via www.iranica.com . You will need to install their special font to read all of their articles clearly. Here is their article on Parthians: [1] . If you spend a good amount of time on the article, you can even make it a featured article. --alidoostzadeh (talk) 17:52, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Salam Sohrab. I hope we can work together to improve these articles. I've been looking for sources (books, newspaper articles, etc.) about Iranians in Southeast Asia for a while but they're hard to find. cab (talk) 01:49, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting facts[edit]

Parthian handshake, Parthian shot, Parthian clothing is also part of Hun, ancient Hungarian culture. Parthian, or also called "Parthus" means "the one who parted/seperated" in Hungarian. It would be interesting to know what is the connection for such distant cultures? Abdulka (talk) 08:39, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Talk: Rob Schneider[edit]

Hi, ParthianPrince, and welcome to Wikipedia! Just so you know, article Talk Pages are not forums or message boards. They are restricted for discussion on ways to improve the article, and not general discussion of the article's topic. If you have any questions or need help editing, just let me know. Thanks! (Diff) Nightscream (talk) 20:58, 31 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

in certain ways, it is for the improvement of the article. Rob has been cast as Manila's favorite son by publications and even by quintin and this might add more to this claims --ParthianPrince (talk) 00:28, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed blackout in protest of RA 10175[edit]

Dear ParthianPrince,

Greetings!

As a Filipino Wikipedian, I hope you are aware of the passage of Republic Act No. 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, which was signed into law by President Benigno Aquino III on September 12, 2012. Currently, there is a discussion on the Tambayan, the noticeboard for Philippines-related topics, about a proposed blackout of the English Wikipedia in the Philippines in order to protest the passage of RA 10175, similar to the blackout against SOPA and PIPA held earlier this year. I feel that your input on the subject will definitely help in the discussion.

Please feel free to participate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines#The Cybercrime Prevention Act, and I hope your input will help the Filipino Wikipedia community determine which is the best course of action against this law. Similarly, we hope to get as much input from as many Wikipedians as possible.

Thank you and maraming salamat po!

Kind regards,

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 11:28, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you haven't contributed yet, we would appreciate you taking the time to add entries to our articles achievements list by the end of the month. Thank you, and if participating, good luck with the finale!
