Notability of Marcus pelham
[edit]The article Marcus pelham has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 20:55, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Escape route 36
[edit]A tag has been placed on Escape route 36 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. [edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Barbara Windsor, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you.--Teles (talk / pt-wiki talk) 09:23, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to the page Lego Star Wars. Such edits constitute vandalism and are reverted. Please do not continue to make unconstructive edits to pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thank you. Mikeo (talk) 09:24, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Josie Charlwood
[edit]A tag has been placed on Josie Charlwood requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Theroadislong (talk) 15:47, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
Josie Charlwood again
[edit]Hey, PartridgeNo9, I wanted to let you know that I flagged this page for deletion again. The thing is that Wikipedia requires the subjects of its articles to be notable. Notability can mean a few different things, depending on the subject, but at its most basic, it's reflected in the general notability guideline, which says that a subject must have significant coverage in multiple, independent, reliable sources to be considered notable. Having a lot of Youtube hits is great, but it doesn't really mean anything from Wikipedia's perspective, and it's just not enough to establish a subject's significance or importance.
Now, you shouldn't worry about it! Lots of people get their first articles deleted; it's no big deal! But you really should stop trying to create this article until there's something really solid to go on. If you have any questions about this, I'd be happy to answer them on my talk page, or you can ask them at the Teahouse, which is a place where people can have their questions about Wikipedia answered in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
