Adoption

Right, so, let's get started! In my experiences here, getting rid of vandalism is the number one constant task for everyone. There's no getting around it. You can do it manually, or you can get one of many special tools that have been made to help make editing quicker. I prefer doing it manually, though the rollback function that administrators get really speeds things up. When you revert a vandal, go over to their talk page and leave them a warning. If they keep vandalizing, leave them higher warnings. If they go past a Level 4 warning, which is the final one, go ahead and report them to Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism (shortcut: WP:AIV) so they get blocked. You can report inappropriate usernames to Wikipedia:Usernames for administrator attention (shortcut: WP:UAA). These don't need to have any contributions to be reported, though.

These are more of the behind-the-scenes, maintenance aspects of Wikipedia, and there are lots of people that contribute a lot in these areas. However, Wikipedia is also always in need of people to contribute to the actual articles; lots of editors are content to tag an article for cleanup or referencing, and not do anything themselves. If you're interested in helping out here, you should check out my What You Can Do page; this lists a lot of ways that you can help out on articles. WikiProjects are a great way to collaborate with other editors to improve content in specific areas; we have projects for everything from biology and chemistry, to Halo and even Elvis.

Templates/Infoboxes

Hmm, not 100% sure what you're asking here. If you mean putting that template on a page, just type {{AMTbus}}; the double brackets is what signifies that you're putting in a a template. Sorry, that didn't come out well, take a look at Help:Template if you need more explanation. If you meant putting an infobox on a particular page, like at Cartier (Montreal Metro), take a look at Wikipedia:List of infoboxes. The Cartier page has {{Infobox Montreal Metro}}, which you can see is for a very specific use. We have lots of kinds of infoboxes, depending on what kind of page you want to put it on; for example, we have {{Infobox Judge}} for judges, {{Infobox High School}}, {{Infobox Television}}, etc. Also, lastly, if you have any more questions about using Wikipedia and I'm not around, you can go ask at the Help Desk. You should not have marked this well known synthesizer for deletion as A7? first of all, commercial products cant be deleted under A7, and second, it certainly asserts notability. See WP:CSD. And why did you put about a dozen different cleanup tags on the article. For multiple issues, "cleanup" by itself is usually sufficient. The article is indeed written in a advertising like manner, but it is fixable. You should have perhaps done some yourself. I'll start. DGG (talk) 19:01, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
