Information icon Hello, I'm HCA. I noticed that you recently removed content from Linkage (mechanical) without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. The article MeKin2D has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable, no assertion of notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.   • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Cabayi (talk) 08:00, 13 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Pasimi (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

The wording "as a sock puppet that was created to violate Wikipedia policy" appears part of a template. To me is is offensive and made in disregard of the numerous Wikimedia Commons uploads done as user:pasimi over the course of 4 years (including 79 animated GIFs, some of them iconic - please see link: 79 GIFs). I claim - and it can be verified - that Wikipedia developers proceed to improved the way many-frame animated GIFs are handled because of my uploads. I am fine with this account remaining blocked (I noticed I can still do the Commons uploads). However, you may want to edit your template and allow room for some doubt. Again (also a note to user:cabayi who initiated this 5 days ago) this account has been created 4 years ago for honorable purposes and not for Sock puppetry ! Pasimi (talk) 03:09, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

This appeal does not address the reason for the block, so I am declining it. Your main account on Wikipedia, as TonyBallioni points out below, has only been blocked for a short time, and you may appeal the block on that account if you wish. This block does not affect your ability to use Wikimedia Commons, which appears to be your main area of engagement with Wikimedia projects, therefore there is no reason to lift the block on this account. Yunshui  09:10, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • I mean, the block was because you violated the meatpuppetry policy by recruiting other editors to vote at an AfD and started to make confusing comments with both accounts at the AfD to the point where even though you technically didn't double !vote, the usage of both accounts was causing disruption. Combined with the MEAT issues, I agreed with the recommendation of the SPI clerk that blocking this ALT was best (but it is a soft block, as your main account has only been blocked a week). I'm sorry if you take offense at the template's exact wording: the point is to let you know that this account has been blocked under the sockpuppetry policy. TonyBallioni (talk) 03:19, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Has Wikipedia became such a frigid bureaucracy after overtaking Encyclopedia Britannica in number of articles that there is no room for improvement?! What big of a deal is to reword your template to "This account has been blocked indefinitely as it appears to violate the sock puppet Wikipedia policy." ?
  • Please also read my Rule Change Proposal - maybe you can give some consideration to at least some of the suggestions therein, and avoid in the future dragging innocent users into controversies. Until 3-4 days ago meatpuppetry and sockpuppetry meant nothing to me. I was just busy with edits (i.e. content addition) and Wikimedia Commons uploads. Thank you .
