Un-stubbed[edit]

Though this article is rather short, I don't feel it can be expanded much more without significant research or a very knowledgeable editor. Krychek 21:04, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The first step in improvement would be to find other reliable sources and to introduce some in-line citations. --RexxS (talk) 21:31, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion nomination[edit]

I support keeping this article -- it appears notable. FieldMarine (talk) 11:33, 1 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The given link goes to a wall of text - should it be changed to [1], which seems suitably authoritative? Jackiespeel (talk) 17:49, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Jackiespeel: I'm sure that's fine. Why not just go ahead and do it? --RexxS (talk) 21:19, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Haven't done much with refs - and in case there was a better option/link. Jackiespeel (talk) 22:55, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Cielquiparle, At this AfD you commented: Searches across Wikipedia Library (using the cross-database search function which is handy) and ProQuest generate well over a hundred results, even after discounting all the journal articles that were likely published by the Historical Diving Society itself. This is going to take a long time to sort through. I wouldn't rush to suggest that coverage doesn't exist.

Do you have any suggestions on how I could access those sources? I am trying to upgrade the article as a user draft and would like to work through what is available to try to establish notability, and at the same time, expand and reference the article. Cheers, · · · Peter Southwood (talk): 16:05, 28 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Log in to Wikipedia Library and run a search on "Historical Diving Society" in the search box at the very top. I just did this and got 1,793 results. It either makes you want to cry tears of joy or frustration...but surely there will be secondary sources in there that are usable (in addition to all the primary sources from the magazine and annual reports, etc.)?
