GCD matrix

[edit]

Let be a set of positive integers. Then the matrix having the greatest common divisor as its entry is referred to as the GCD matrix on . The LCM matrix is defined analogously.

Bourque-Ligh Conjecture: Bourque and Ligh (1992) conjectured that the LCM matrix on a GCD-closed set S is nonsingular. This conjecture was shown to be false by Haukkanen, Wang and Sillanpää (1997) and subsequently by Hong (1999).</ref>

Speedy deletion nomination of GCD matrix

[edit]

Hello, Pentti Haukkanen

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged GCD matrix for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons. For more details please see the notice on the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Thanks for your contributions to Perpendicularity in an Abelian group. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. microbiologyMarcus (petri dish·growths) 19:43, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
