RE:Irc
Hi there,
It was no problem at all!
After all, I'm here to help :)

Simon Bruce
Thank you for your comments. I have tried previously to add notability but have been scolded by orangemike that it sounds too PR or reeks of self promotion. The point is he is a known lyrical child prodigy. I am in no way connected to the young man, he is a friend of my sons, but I as well as many others are amazed by his talents. He deserves a Wiki page to list his ongoing accomplishments in the arts.
I would put more in his bio, but i dont know him that well. When I had Sarah, his friend try, because she knows a lot more, the page was shut down for conflict of interest and was even accused of making a page about ourselves. I am a 43 year old mother of 2, not a PR company. We havent found the happy medium between notability and what is percieved to be stinky self promotion.Sarahmckem (talk) 21:41, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Hey! i got a good opening line like you said. can you check it now? Sarahmckem (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 21:51, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Need help badly...
Excuse me, but I have to ask you something...erm, I kinda got a little complicated in things and accidentally created 2 peer reviews, and they don't seem to be working. So could you tell me how to reverse this? It's for the McGill University article. --Sunsetsunrise (talk) 21:44, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Line of succession to the British Throne/Descendants of Victoria, Princess Royal
Does Line of succession to the British Throne/Descendants of Victoria, Princess Royal serve any purpose in the main space? If not, consider userfying or deleting. I ran across it cleaning up links to the redirect Princess Margarete of Prussia. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 01:59, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Done. Sorry for the week wait. Nobody is reviewing these days. Go ahead and check your review. Any questions?--RyRy5 Got something to say? 07:05, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Deletions
Funerary art is deleted, but did you mean Secular Muslim or Secular Muslims? Cheers. The Rambling Man (talk) 17:39, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry for appearing (or just simply being) dumb but you said "Secular Muslim. The singular is preferred per this. " Muslim is singular? Which do you need to be deleted?! Apologies... The Rambling Man (talk) 17:45, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- I hope I've done what you were expecting! All the best, The Rambling Man (talk) 17:48, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- Undeleted! Fingers crossed. The Rambling Man (talk) 17:54, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

S/T
Hmm, yes, I suppose I could have just turned the S/T page into a redirect. Evan Reyes (talk) 05:52, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- It's not, that was just a placeholder for the real title, I suppose. S/T is meant to stand for "self-titled," but I think the convention is just to give the name of the band with the (album) tag after it. Evan Reyes (talk) 05:55, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- That's fine. It's probably better off not even existing—someone could make a similarly-titled article at some point in the future and it would just cause confusion when it linked to This Will Destroy You. Evan Reyes (talk) 05:59, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Joining the Royalty Project
Peter, there was no mention of how to join the project and since you have rollback rights I thought I'd ask you. I'm pretty well versed on the subject of Royalty and would love to assist in the project. How do I go about joining? Naut2b (talk) 23:11, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Just a note to let you know that per WP:DPR#NAC, you should not really early close AFDs as a non-admin. I'm not going to reopen this but just as a note for the future. Stifle (talk) 19:04, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
Request for third-party interpretation
Peter, thanks for your help with the Genetics of Ancient World page...let me know if I can ever be of any help to you on an edit situation. Anyway, I'm still in a deadlock about Javan. Please, if you have time, read Javan and comment on the following on the user page for Javan found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Javan about this question:
1. After reading Javan does Javan as used in the Bible refer to the ancient Greeks, and not just some mythical or biblical character?
sincere thanks, Hkp-avniel (talk) 15:49, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I think I'm more adept at WP:RPP, which I've helped out a bunch so far today (check out my additions to there right now :) ) I'll leave vandal fighting to the pros! :) Gary King (talk) 23:38, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Sorry
Peter, sorry about the administrator thing, I didn't know that I had put it on there. I didn't even know it was there. So I am sorry.

Thanks
For expanding Siqing Lu. I needed to head to sleep after I found those references, so I didn't get a chance to insert them into the article. (I just wanted to put them out there to stop the article from getting axed because a nom couldn't be bother to do a google search before AfD'ing). Best, --Bfigura (talk) 17:16, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Tex Bronson
I am Kyle Vickers, president of the Atlanta-based company Adrenaline Pulse Entertainment. I just recently added the post of Tex Bronson who is the main character of our new film in production called Mummies of the Third Reich. The character of Tex Bronson is played by famous american drummer, Kerry Denton, who has been in such mainstream bands as Mother's Finest. Also, minor characters in the film are played by such members of Skid Row and those of Green Jelly. The script itself and the film in production has become a phenomenon in Atlanta with not only the independent film community but with various professional visual effects artists and set designers that have worked on numerous Hollywood films. The film is also in a contract to be shown on ComCast. The fact that this film is not notable is ridiculus considering that this is an internet encyclopedia noting real topics across the world. This is a noteworthy topic that obviously is worth something considering it's budget over $100,000 and that it will be exclusively premiered at the 3rd annual Atlanta Horror-Fest. Reconsider your opinion about it being un-notable, and do some research on the information provided in the topic. --Adrenaline-pulse (talk) 10:52, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
Dorothy Ruth
I wrote the following at the AfD for Dorothy Ruth: Worldcat says the book is in at least 200 libraries in the United States. That probably makes it notable. See Wikipedia:Notability (people)#Creative_professionals, which includes the criterion "... had works in many significant libraries." --Eastmain (talk) 01:32, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Considering the semantic load per glyph, four letter words have a useful application, be they used by the hoi polloi or the hoi oligoi. Mind you, I am an oligoi of one. Thank you for the message, though. --Cookatoo.ergo.ZooM (talk) 21:18, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you, again. Having been forgiven, can I now skip confession for another fifty years? --Cookatoo.ergo.ZooM (talk) 21:56, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
(Unrelated to above comment. PeterSymonds | talk) That sounds like exactly what he needs. I plan on calling my local bookstores during my lunch break. Your input is greatly appreciated. Thank you. --Endless Dan 16:57, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for your "welcome"
Thank you very much PeterSymonds – for your welcome and your answer on Wikipedia:Reference desk/Humanities. It was very difficult for me to find a good answer, and your answer... help me, very really. I can't really work on WP in English because my English is very bad but I work in WK French with the same "name". Maby can we "meet" on the web... Good evening, --Égoïté (talk) 21:41, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
Grandsons
My apologies - I misread it as referring to EIIR. BTW, the text might have been intended to say that most of Ireland left the United Kingdom in 1922, but perhaps not since the article is about the monarchy and full secession was in 1949. --Red King (talk) 19:38, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

FAC of Degrassi
Thanks for commenting at the peer review of Degrassi: The Next Generation at the beginning of the month. I have now listed it at WP:FAC. Any further comments you have regarding the article will be greatly appreciated. Regardless, thanks for the help with it so far -- ṃ•α•Ł•ṭ•ʰ•Ə•Щ• @ 00:57, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Images
Yes, after a bit of time practicing, I still can't seem to upload any images. Could you possibly give me proper instructions? I can't seem get it right... And is there anywhere else I can get images that I can freely use without copyright aside from Wikimedia Commons Thanks, --Sunsetsunrise (talk) 16:21, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
Elizabeth Wriothesley, Countess of Southampton
After noticing your recent work on this article I saw where someone has added an unsourced quote to the Marriage and children section. Personally I don't think the quote is needed there, but what do you think? If it remains it needs to be sourced. The effort to search for the quote may not be worth it, however.
Also I have been guilty of using the maiden name, not only with this article but others as well. It seems to be the preferred use at many sites as well as printed works. It does not look like everyone is on the "same page", so to speak, with this concern. Recently I posted an example of the issue at Talk:Elizabeth Campbell, 1st Baroness Hamilton of Hameldon. Thanks Daytrivia (talk) 18:19, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- Outstanding Peter. Very efficient, effective and interesting expansion. Thanks a million.
- On the other issue I just don't know. I've talked with the founder and editor of a major site who uses the maiden or family name as it seems to "keeps things straight" but is sure to parallel index the legal married name. I do not think the lead title of the article, in this case, should be simply be Elizabeth Vernon indeed I have no objection to Elizabeth Wriothesley, Countess of Southampton especially with the subtitle Elizabeth Wriothesley, (née Vernon) Countess of Southampton as it clearly states her new legal name but also clarifies for posterity who she was, at the beginning of the article. Daytrivia (talk) 20:07, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
To avoid a potential quandary in Wikipedia you are quite correct that consistency is necessary and I will make appropriate changes with some of my starts. At the same time it would probably be prudent to some how (I am not Wiki savey) initiate a "naming convention" dealing with this issue. There may be some useful information out there. Possibly even to avoid confusing research as I have noticed when researching Elizabeth Seymour, Duchess of Somerset where her daughter married a Percy. Research/Wiki are sometimes at odds. Daytrivia (talk) 21:12, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the discussion today it has been interesting and quite helpful. I certainly approve of you moving the articles, to what appears to be the acceptable wiki standard. Please feel free to move at will. Thanks also for starting the discussion. Daytrivia (talk) 23:03, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
Film stubs
Hi there. Howz it goin? Lord knows Hong Kong , Italian and French film is missing in gigantic loads from wiki in relation to American film coverage. Don't worry they'll gradually be expanded like The Boxer From Shantung. Best way is to stub them first I think so clear red links and gives us something to work with. ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 21:00, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
Hi yes I'm sure you noticed! But as you probably know I create articles on diverse subjects and while films aren't what I would think of as traditional encyclopedia articles I think they will grow into useful additions eventually. But getting them started in bulk is probably the best way to ge tthe ball rolling so to speak and try to address bias on here. Today I have some Romanian poets and Burkina communes to add!
