your edit on Myles Kennedy[edit]

Hi, I would like to review your edit regarding the identity of Myles Kennedy. You submitted that the Myles Burton Kennedy article was not associated with the yachtsman of the same name, however the New York Times suggests that the yachtsman's middle name was Burton and that he died in 1914. The date of death in the Myles Burton Kennedy article is 1928, but this conflicts with the date that his son took over the mining business in 1914, which happened immediately following his father's death. This recent article suggest that the two men are one and the same and uses the correct date. Can you advise? Thank you for contributing, . signed:Donan Raven (talk) 17:44, 12 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Sankey Photographs, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. While I didn't ultimately speedy this article, as I'm not sure it's spam per se, it is also not anywhere near an appropriate encyclopedia article. It contains a "bibliography", but no inline citations to indicate what, if anything, those works are intended to support, is written much more like an essay than an encyclopedia article, and without any actual references its notability is unclear. Accordingly, I have moved it to a draft. Prior to any move back to mainspace, please ensure that all of the above issues are corrected, and that any statements of conjecture or opinion (such as "...may have been a natural extension of the printing business to take his own photographs") are either attributed to a source or removed. (In other words, who said that "may have been" so?) Also, mainspace articles should generally not include social media links. Seraphimblade Talk to me 01:36, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Peter, can I just say how much I enjoyed reading Sankey Photography Collection! I have fixed a few references. If you are still around, would you mind if I asked for some page numbers from sources for particular statements so I can reference the article properly? I would be happy to do this for you, I just need to know the source material. - Aussie Article Writer (talk) 00:19, 11 July 2021 (UTC) Hi, I would be very pleased if you can add references. Most of my information came from Picture Postcard Anual, 1993. I can email you a pdf if you like. Peterrivington (talk) 20:09, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
