A tag has been placed on Photoneo, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. CUPIDICAE💕 16:47, 9 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

March 2022[edit]

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Modussiccandi (talk) 17:11, 9 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I fully understand why my account was blocked and why the page I created was deleted. Though I admit that I failed to comply with Wikipedia rules, this was done completely unintentionally and due to lack of sufficient knowledge. First, I chose a wrong account name, which implied business representation and advertising intentions. Second, the page that I created also seemed to be an advertisement. I am an employee at Photoneo and I would like to make clear that my intentions were not to advertise Photoneo but to share knowledge and notable facts from the world of machine vision. Photoneo made a big achievement in the field of machine vision, therefore, I was confident that readers would benefit from including the information on Wikipedia. This achievement was recognized with many international awards. Still though, I understand now that some claims such as “revolutionary technology” or “The company provided sight and intelligence to robots all over the world so that they could see and understand it…” may sound promotional and I would omit them in the future. I had the best intentions and I am very sorry for breaching the rules. I fully understand what I did wrong and I would avoid the mistake again. Because I was not fully acquainted with the editing rules on Wikipedia and my account was blocked as a result, I asked another person to create the page. I was also not acquainted with the paid editing section on Wikipedia. My lack of knowledge led to breaching the paid editing status. Our paid editor also failed to disclose her paid editing services when asked. I did not know that she was asked about it and that she lied. I was informed about it by a Wikipedia admin. I am very sorry for this. Now I understand what I did wrong, got acquainted with the editing rules, and will not do the same kinds of edits again. I will avoid anything that may sound promotional if I am given another chance to create a page about Photoneo.

Decline reason:

No, you will not be unblocked to do this. If this is your only goal, this is the end of the line. If instead you wish to write about subject areas for which you have no conflict of interest, tell us what you plan to write about instead. Yamla (talk) 09:54, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I understand that my account cannot be ublocked if my intent is to write about Photoneo. I will not. I will make no more edits related to Photoneo. However, even if you do not unblock my account, can you please at least unblock the page title "Photoneo" for whoever in the world wants to write about Photoneo in the future? Photoneo (talk) 11:15, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Not an unblock request. There is no protection on that title that would prevent someone from creating it, or submitting a draft. 331dot (talk) 14:01, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
