Your AfC submission
[edit]Hi Polaatx, I'll answer the questions that you left on my talk page here. I'll also include some other tips to improve this article. Thank you for patience with the AfC process, which I know can be a bit of a headache!
- The first main concern is that the article does not currently include multiple independent sources to show that the subject is notable. For example, it would be helpful to include at least one another newspaper/magazine article about the subject's work in public health to show that this was notable.
- In the absence of additional coverage, we would need to see that the subject meets the criteria outlined at WP:ARTIST.
- To improve the article, it would be helpful to remove all external links in the body of the text; see WP:ELPOINTS. In addition, it would make sense to remove things that aren't sourced, don't add to the notability of the article, and/or are copied from other sources. This would mean, for example, removing the "Affiliations" section and really trimming down the "Career as an artist" to stick to the facts presented in reliable sources.
- Finally, I appreciated reading your note about why the documentation for her diplomas cannot be retrieved at this time. I should clarify that we do not actually need to see personal documents like that - what I meant to say is if there's a fact that you know because you know the subject personally, but there is no independent, reliable record of it, then it should not be included in the article. This is why we generally don't recommend writing about subjects you have a close connection to, because it can make it difficult to write a neutral article. (See WP:COI.)
I hope that is helpful. You can post here if you have any further questions and I'll do my best to answer. You are welcome to resubmit after you've made any changes and another editor can take a look.
