September 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Munna Bhai, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Please stop trying to hijack an existing article. You need to start a new one, probably at Draft:Munna Bhai (artist). From what you posted, there are strong notability concerns and your sources need to be better. The draft and review process will help with that. Your recent editing history at Dinesh D'Souza shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Munna Bhai[edit]

Please stop trying to hijack an existing page for a new article. It's rather rude and ultimately counter-productive as you will end up blocked. Start the article in draft space and go from there. Ravensfire (talk) 23:01, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In the post at the top of this page is a bunch of great links, one of them is called the Article Wizard that would be a helpful place to start. Ravensfire (talk) 23:04, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
I don't know how much clearer I can be about this - you CANNOT hijack an existing article like you are doing. STOP. Ravensfire (talk) 23:05, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia. STOP. You will end up blocked continuing this. Ravensfire (talk) 23:18, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for persistent vandalism. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Alexf(talk) 23:30, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
