October 2007 reverts[edit]

Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary, which wasn't included with your recent edit to List of mountains in Peru. Thank you.

Also, your changes have been reverted (cancelled): Please do not gratuitously remove content from Wikipedia, as you did to the List of mountains in Peru page. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.

  • [1] changing a sourced value without providing a reason or a counter-source
  • [2] deleting an entry without justification
  • [3] deleting another entry without justification
  • [4] deleting 10 entries and the source from lead section without justification

The welcome table has the main guides, but please see more especially Wikipedia:Verifiability, Wikipedia:Citing sources, and Wikipedia:Vandalism. Thanks. — Komusou talk @ 22:10, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. : About your deletions to List of mountains in Peru, please take the time to see the discussions at the talk page, Talk:List of mountains in Peru. We know there are errors or problems in the official INEI values, but changes are to be done carefully with counter-sources and proper citations, and trying to keep information rather than delete it – if needed, we'd rather change the criterion to 5000+m or 5500+m peaks and keep the Alpamayo, as was already discussed. With respect to how we work, the first discussion "Error on Salcantay and maybe others" should show you a problem complete from start to resolution, and how it has been properly sourced. The other topics discuss the other problematic values, still unsorted. Thanks. — Komusou talk @ 22:26, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
