Preditas page

[edit]

Hi,

I am just a normal Wikipedian who used to create pages for startups.I have also taken interest in other startups pages like Zomato,MuSigma and Flipkart. Can you provide some more reliable data and reliable third-party source for Preditas so that I can add some reliable information into the page. For instance:

  1. how many employees are there in Preditas now?
  2. when was it founded?
  3. is it publicly traded company in USA?
  4. who are founder and key people of Preditas?

In your website only http://preditas.com/contact.html PREDITAS PVT. LTD is registered in india along with PREDITAS INC in USA.PREDITAS software i can remove as it may be different from Preditas Inc ,but do u have any other product offering which i can put.

If in this third-party source http://www.trademarkia.com/map/preditas-85970583.htm its cleary mentioned that PREDITAS is a service created by Preditas, Inc. in 227 Bellevue Way N.E. #575 , Bellevue, WA, 98004. The PREDITAS is a service related to Business intelligence, ....etc. So these type of reliable source establish its product.Unless, you dont provide any third-party reliable source i cannot remove any info. Moresoever,Preditas currently recruited from IITs this month with the name "Preditas Private Ltd." So the info on wiki page of this company is essential for the budding engineers who want want to know about this start up before thinking to apply for a job in Preditas.

Your username

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Preditas", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because Wikipedia accounts must be for individuals only, who are personally responsible for them, and usernames which are names of groups or organizations are not permitted. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing.

I understand that at present you are not trying to edit about your company - quite the reverse, you are discouraging a premature article about it, and we are grateful for that - but if in due course you do wish to write about your company, even with an indicidual username you will have, from Wikipedia's point of view, a conflict of interest, and should read the Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 21:44, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks John for looking out. We have no intention of self-promotion, now or later. This Preditas ID was created expressly to delete false content that @nehapant19 keeps uploading about our company for some reason. We do not want unsubstantiated and incorrect claims about our nascent startup to to be posted out there, that's all. I can see that wikipedia editors are already proactively moderating promotional and/or unreferenced content, so thank you for that, and please be assured that we do not intend to use this ID on the site any more. PR editing

[edit]

On December 5, 2013, you wrote on User talk:Nehapant19#Automatic invitation to visit WP:Teahouse sent by HostBot (diff):

Appreciate your help in getting our name out there, but request you to wait for a couple of weeks - when you will be able to link to verified information. Bidisha Sen and Pranav Kothari serve as the company contacts for all marketing and PR enquiries

Even after you get established and desire to have an article in Wikipedia, please do not encourage others to create such articles and if they seek your cooperation, please discourage them from doing so. Instead, work on building your company to the point that it clearly meets Wikipedia's notability criteria (found at WP:Notability and the specialized notability criteria pages linked from it). Pages about companies that do not clearly meet these criteria may wind up at WP:Articles for deletion.

Also, even if your company eventually does meet Wikipedia's notability criteria, you may not want your company to have a page on Wikipedia. Why not? Two reasons come to mind: 1) it may actually rank higher than your company's web site in search engines, which could be unwanted, and 2) while those with ties to the company should not edit the article due to Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines, those who have no such conflict are free to edit the page. This means bad news about the company which has been reported in reliable sources will almost certainly get into the article and will likely stay there indefinitely.

Also, you should be aware that earlier this year, a PR firm made headlines which caused the Wikipedia community to view "paid editing" and "public relations editing" in an even more negative light than we did before.

The bottom line: Not only does Wikipedia not want companies to try to use it as a means of promotion, attempting to do can easily backfire. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 19:40, 21 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

India

[edit]

As a company with strong ties to India, you should be aware that, due to past "edit warring" regarding many India-related topics, all articles that are considered "India-related topics" are under stronger scrutiny than other articles. I do not know if a future article about your company would be considered an article about an India-related topic. It would probably depend largely on the focus of the article. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 19:40, 21 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you.
