SS Desabla[edit]

Nice start! I've given the article a copy edit per WP:MOSSHIP and added categories. You could expand the article a bit by adding a description section - see SS Heidberg for an example. You may be interested in joining WP:SHIPS, a WikiProject for those interested in ship-related articles. Mjroots (talk) 06:33, 22 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure if this is how to reply, but thank you! I doubt I'll become a regular, but have been using Wikipedia for years and was surprised to run into a subject that had no article. I've been researching the Desabla since I discovered my Great Grandfather served aboard her. I've just ordered a record from The National Archives, so I might be able to add more to the article soon. Cheers. Psmcdougall (talk) 07:33, 22 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Replying here is fine. If you find material in the National Archives, {{cite journal}} is probably the one to use, we can cross that bridge when we come to it. I'll know when the article has been edited so will be able to sort any minor problems if they occur. Mjroots (talk) 08:22, 22 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:ConingsbyDawson.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:ConingsbyDawson.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 19:16, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of ICHOR[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on ICHOR requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. cnzx 05:54, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
