Your WP:AFC/R Request[edit]

I formatted the page somewhat, and moved it to Ray Howard Pettit. If you don't want the page to be deleted, you should add some references to it, such as citations to papers you wrote, news articles about you, things like that. -- kenb215 talk 08:33, 29 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Ray6690! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 871 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Ray Howard Pettit - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 21:00, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Ray Howard Pettit has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:N: Unable to find reliable, secondary sources to establish notability under the general notability guideline. There are some publications, but based on rough heuristics, what I see in GScholar listings don't show enough in the way of citations to suggest that this inventor would be found to meet WP:SCHOLAR.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. joe deckertalk to me 18:30, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
