Hello Rayknee. Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions!

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:
  Fight vandalism

  Help contribute to articles
  Perform maintenance tasks

Become a member of a project that interests you
  Help design new templates
Subscribe and contribute to The Signpost

To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

Please remember to:

  • Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes ~~~~ at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp.
  • Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!

June 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Talk:Bethel Church (Redding, California), did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. I have asked you several times not to use {{ping}} and you complied. I then asked you not to link my user name. I do not need the alerts these actions generate. Stop assuming your actions need my attention. Walter Görlitz (talk) 01:59, 23 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Rayknee[edit]

Greetings, Rayknee. I was passing through a series of articles and landed on an unfortunate encounter you recently had. I thought this would be a great opportunity to take a moment and give back to this beautiful community of editors that I have come to view as somewhat of a family, as dysfunctional as we may sometimes be (lol). It is also a chance to offer some words of encouragement. Most editors, like myself, are brought to Wikipedia because of a single purpose. That does not make us a SPA (Clearly you are not). For me it was my Cherokee heritage. I have branched out since then and so will you. There is no rush! Don't be discouraged. Hang in there. The Wikipedia experience can be frustrating and rewarding, especially for us who are still relatively new. I am learning something I didn't know every day. You seem fierce yet able to eloquently state your case which are both great attributes and will serve you well. Lean on the community. There are lots of wonderful people here who are extremely knowledgeable and willing to help if you ever get stuck. One of the troubles I have is learning when to disengage. Disengaging is an art, especially when it comes to timing. Some seasoned editors utilize it well. Others have never learned it. It is not an admittance of defeat to disengage from conflict. You can always pick it up again at another time or seek help to resolve disputes. You seem to have a great start and I hope you continue to add to Wikipedia. Sunshine and rainbows, full steam ahead and enjoy the journey! If you ever have questions, need some assistance or would just like a quick chat you know where to find me ;). --ARoseWolf 17:32, 23 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings, I saw you were having issues but had to leave. When I came back and continued I missed part of your comments. I regret I didn't see the other part. For all the editors that can possibly be dysfunctional and respectful you may find an occasional "bad apple". Considering one of our fundamental principles is civility and includes, Be open and welcoming to newcomers, it might make one wonder if more than a quarter of a million edits become a protective barrier. I hope future experiences are better and hope one bad apple does not spoil the bushel. If I can be of any assistant let me know. Otr500 (talk) 21:11, 28 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
